In our recent assessment we found that among our population was lacking and we know that it’s such a vital part of wellbeing. Did you know there’s a local support group for parents & caregivers of ***r & 🏳️‍⚧️ It meets monthly and at the same time and location, a group for the youth meets too. The adult group is facilitated by fellow parents and the youth portion is facilitated by two therapists. This opportunity to for is invaluable for the kids and adults alike. PSI’s Q***r & Trans Parent Support Group is FREE and open to all members of the LGBTQIA+ community who are expecting, adopting, and/or parenting from pregnancy to four years postpartum. This group is intended for gestational, non-gestational and foster or adoptive parents. This group is open to all parents from pregnancy to four years postpartum who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. The group leaders are peer facilitators who are also part of the q***r and trans community. You are not alone, and we welcome you to our group space.

Good news! A judge has decided that a lawsuit challenging Alabama's ban on gender-affirming care for minors can move forward. The law, currently blocked by injunction, would make it a felony for providers to affirm the gender of anyone under the age of 19.
