On November 13th, 2024, we had the honor of celebrating 106 children finding their forever homes at our 24th Annual Adoption Finalization Event! 🎉💙 A heartfelt thank you to Assemblyman Tom Lackey, 4th District Supervisor Curt Hagman, 5th District Supervisor Joe Baca Jr., CEO Luther Snoke, AEO Diane Rundles, honorable judges, and our dedicated staff for helping make this special day a success. Children and Family Services remains dedicated to our commitment to ensuring the safety of our children, strengthening families, and building brighter tomorrows.

Families are our greatest gift – offering support, joy, and the strength to face any challenges. Let’s take a moment to appreciate our families and all they bring to our lives.

Children and Family Services partnered with Pastor BJ Sims of City Center Community Church to host Family Revival, a community event focused on empowering local families and gathering valuable feedback from the families we serve.
Director Jeany Zepeda attended the event, actively listening to the discussions and gaining insights into the community’s needs. A special thank you to , , and for the opportunity to be part of this event and contribute to a brighter future for families. As a department, we remain committed to strengthening our community connections and to better serve children and families.

*The Travel Training program provides you with the information and skills to ride the bus with confidence. Sign up and complete the session to receive a free 31-day bus pass!
*Sign up for the Uber and Taxi Ride program and OmniTrans will match your service credits for taxi rides or provide you with up to a $15 subsidy per ride with Uber.
*The Volunteer Driver program provides mileage reimbursement for individuals with disabilities who cannot use public transportation and rely on others for transportation to medical appointments, personal errands, etc.

Children and Family Services’ community engagement team attended Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr.’s annual holiday giveaway! 🎁✨ The team helped giveaway over 600 goodie bags to children in the community. Thank you to Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. for inviting us to participate in the event and to help spread holiday cheer!

San Bernardino County’s Human Services Departments, County Administrative Office and Human Resources Department raised $19,532 during a virtual holiday food drive in October for the Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County (CAPSBC). With the funds raised, CAPSBC purchased 9,264 turkeys to accompany the 30 pounds of food distributed to families at turkey giveaway events throughout San Bernardino County. As we close out National Adoption Month this November, Children and Family Services (CFS) proudly spotlights our incredible adoption workers. Their outstanding advocacy, commitment to creating forever families, and dedication to the CFS mission and goals inspire us all. We had an amazing time watching youth in the Independent Living Program step into the roles of adults, gaining hands-on experience in everything from money management 💸 and housing 🏡 to grocery shopping 🛒 and balancing family life 👨👩👧👦. It was a day filled with learning, growth, and preparation for the future!
