’s 2012 Triple Crown 👑👑👑… interesting story, apparently the MLB doesn’t have a trophy for the prestigious accomplishment. According to our tour guide, the late great Mike Illitch had a trophy designed to honor Cabrera’s feat!

This trophy was hoisted at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull in the old Tiger Stadium by the 1984 World Series Champion Detroit . They won after beating the San Diego Padres 4 games to 1. I was in the 1st grade at the time but I remember it vividly!

I’m living in an entirely new space… I never thought in my lifetime that I’d ever see a Black man as the Head Football Coach at the University of Michigan!! While I’m excited for Coach Moore, I’m very certain that his road will be challenging. We like to say that race doesn’t matter, but unfortunately, it does matter and this selection does mean more than meets the eye… Thanks to Coach Harbaugh, for his leadership and dedication to empowering and promoting young men of color in high ranking positions in his staff to prepare them for their “moment.” 〽️

Go on and let that percolate…
