Hoping everyone is safe and has power (or will get power back soon) after the hurricane! It seems events like this can bring out the best in us as we come together as a community and help each other through the recovery process.

I have worked with so many who lost so much in hurricanes past but i have been gratified to see how much my m team and I were able to make a difference each time. After Hurricane Ike, we moved families who had just relocated to Houston to new homes while redoing the homes for sale. After Hurricane Harvey, we moved seniors out of flooded homes to a high rise, keeping them safe while also savaging their special memorabilia. We also took flooded homes, restored them to their former glory, and got immediate offers.

I truly love what I do whether flood restoration .design build or aging in place .I appreciate all the goodness I have experienced in life and helping others is what makes my life meaningful.

Downsizing with seniors and their families is such a joy for me! I just finished downsizing my neighbor’s parents who moved into the neighborhood 51 years ago. Our downsizing days were such special times for me being able to work with dear friends and talk about terrific memories. Their parent’s things not only told the story of their lives but also brought back wonderful memories for me.

One of my wonderful new projects is a beautiful remodel of artist Marjorie Silverstein’s Royal Oaks home. This age-in-place project involves 3 bathrooms and her kitchen, and includes repainting, new cabinets and new flooring. I am beyond excited to be working on the remodel of the JCC West Houston! There will be accessible bathrooms and a kitchen for Celebration Station from Jewish Family Service for a West Houston Location.

More than forty-nine years ago, I remember how twenty-three children met in a church nursery school. I went with group members from Congregation Beth Am in 1973 asking the JCC to give us a nursery school in West Houston . They said if we build the play ground, they would would give us a teacher.

Our group first met in a store in Town and Country to air plans for the JCC West Houston. This is how the story began, and now I have come full circle! Having a terrific time working with Jamie Weiner from Celebration Station at Jewish Family Service and the crew. It is so exciting for me to be part of this project!

On a fantastic project now and so enjoying working with a terrific artist! What a unique experience. My client wanted to stay in her home and age in place. The project involves remodeling the master and kitchen to have custom cabinets and to remodel her bathrooms to make them safe as well as beautiful. A favorite kind of project for me is what I call a “turnkey” process. This is when I take my clients from relocating from their current home to designing and remodeling their new home and then organizing their move in! Right now I am finalizing a beautiful and luxurious turnkey project remodeling 3 bathrooms plus master bath and kitchen for a wonderful client! For this project, I accessed products from multiple sources in Canada, Portland, Oregon, New Jersey, New York and Miami. My Relocate and Renovate/Moving With Ease team and I are currently organizing the final move from the client’s townhouse and two storage units. Once again there were no supply chain issues and here’s why: it is all about creativity, exceptional resources and the proven relationships I have maintained for more than 25 yrs!

I just finished a really special remodel of a master bath for a client after her recent back surgery. It was such a joy to make her bathroom accessible! My client has also had neuropathy in her feet so the right products were crucial. As in all my jobs, we overcame all possible supply chain issues and we finished on time, on budget. I just put on my presentation at a meeting of 50+ amazing real estate professionals at Sotheby’s/Martha Turner properties in Houston! One in three seniors die from Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. The Alzheimer’s Association talks about providing support and maximizing quality care for those living with any kind of dementia, their caregivers, and their families. A Moving Story
