Are you ready for the Puppets in Paradise weekend? Here's an overview of what to expect and what to bring 👟🧣🎒:
Friday, October 10th: The opening night spectacle begins on Friday evening at 6:15pm with a glowing procession of giant lantern puppets led by local community members and visiting artists. After the procession, you can settle down to witness Tholpavakoothu, a traditional Indian shadow puppetry performance, featuring 60 intricately carved deerskin puppets illuminated by coconut oil lamps. This will be the first-ever Vermont appearance of this ancient art form! Entry to the opening evening is by donation (cash or check) 💰

Saturday & Sunday, October 11th & 12th (10am–4pm; last performance begins at 3:30): Audiences will walk through Retreat Farm's natural paths to discover short-form performances in meadows, forests, barns, and fields; you will receive a map when you arrive at the farm. Plan for at least 2 hours to take it all in!
Golf carts available for accessibility across most performance locations.
