NONE OF THE WORLD CUP MATCHES IN TORONTO ARE SOLD OUT YET. Toronto is spending $380 million to host 6 World Cup matches. THAT'S $63M PER GAME!! Tickets start around $1,300. And economists are warning the net economic impact may be close to zero because many tourists would have visited Toronto anyway. So where exactly is this economic boom everyone keeps talking about?

The fire on Simpson street where the underground gym and abiding buildings were located, occurred April 15, 2026. If it was a private individual’s property they would have had to clean up the remains within days. Or be fined. If the city had to go through a process to take over the land? Then clean it up as you deal with the process.

It’s been about 6 weeks, the property is an eye sore and creates a safety issue. If you want the citizens to abide by the city rules? Then the city should set the example. Not be the one to flout the rules . You can do better.
