Local legend Matt Morrison makes his The Vaudies debut on November 21st at Icon Lounge. Learn more about Matt below!

Matt Morrison is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who can be seen regularly performing with CommonGround and Midtown Coffee Radio Hour. He is a member of The Good Night Theatre Collective where he won a Sioux Falls Stage Award for his work as Kris Kringle in Miracle on 34th Street and was nominated for roles in Salem and A Binge-Worthy Cabaret. Matt also carries the legacy of his late wife Amy as the owner of The Effervescent Voice Academy.

Up first! The very talented Katie Wrede will be making her The Vaudies debut on November 21st! Catch up with this talented woman and get your tickets to see her live!
Growing up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Katie Wrede has been involved in music from the time she could talk. She began studying piano at the age of five and soon started writing music of her own. She studied advanced piano and composition at Minnesota State University: Mankato. With themes of nostalgia and deep reflection of the human experience, Katie's original compositions are described as cinematic and heartfelt. In 2020, she released her first single, "Growing Up," followed by her debut album, " A New Beginning", later that year.

Katie sings and plays piano for the folk-acoustic cover band CommonGround, which she founded in 2014. She also enjoys performing with the Johnny Cash cover band "The Men in Black" and "The Fabulous Fittys". Katie has entertained at countless local events and venues, including the annual Sioux Falls Block Party, Midwest Honor Flight, Grand Falls Casino, and the Levitt, and has been featured in multiple albums by various Sioux Falls artists.
