ReadyNation applauds Representatives Ryan Mackenzie (R-PA), Susie Lee (D-NV), Ashley Hinson (R-IA), and Kristen McDonald Rivet (D-MI) for introducing the bipartisan Child Care Modernization Act in the House today. It will strengthen child care and better support working families by updating the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG). Congress needs to pass this important piece of legislation.

Iowa is trying to address the and the economic burden it places on parents and businesses by recently passing a bill that made permanent the Child Care Assistance Program cover costs for people working at least 32 hrs/week in the child care industry.
