CTMH - Close to my Heart Stamping and Scrapbooking with Dana Simone Kurtz

My ASL teacher is suddenly out for the rest of the term, so I made a card for the class to sign.
The card is 5”x7” pattern “Bullseye” from Wishes. Paper is old, the bear and saying (B1831) might still be available online.
- telling you, get the stamps you really like and may use in the future. I love this guy! Colored with ShimHam markers.

Got to play yesterday. Super happy with my cards.
I took the stencil from the current Say it in Style special and followed the directions from the birthday workshop (same special). But I used the October stamp of the month(From Owl of us - S2310) for the focal. Now with thin cuts (Z7074)!

The “w sympathy” card uses current Floral Notes stamp set(C1988) w thin cuts (Z7071).

All of the images were colored in with our super smooth colored pencils. :)

Making gratitude cards? Grab this saying (M1350) now before it's gone at the end of the month. It's paired with the mix in paper (Z9053), Orange & Yellow Dots (Z7008) with Pumpkin Ink (Z6576) and cardstock (X6076). It's an quick and easy 3" x 3" card.

Upcoming card exchange. Use fruit was the challenge. I pulled out a rather old set and paired it with a couple of new ones. 🙂

Papers are Clover and Toffee. Colored pencils. I stamped and colored the apple twice - once on the vine and once separately. Then I cut the apple out and mounted it over the vine apple to give it some dimension.

Inside will say “from me to you & sending many”. These are actually three different sayings. I‘ll mask “kisses” from the “& kisses” saying to leave me with the “&” sign. :)

Learning points -
1) If you see something you like, buy it (saying is a great example - was from Stamptacular special).
2) Stamps don’t go bad, and since they’re acrylic, they don’t need much storage space.
3) Check out the Bear (Beary Special) to see the sayings that accompany the bear). This one is a classic.
4) Inks, pens, and tools last a long time - make sure you have them on hand.

Another April stamp of the month card. This one was from the originals design Background Bars. Again colored with pencils. The background paper is Mix-in paper, with Papaya, Seabrook, and Toffee cardstock.

Finished a baby shower card for my niece-in-law. 🙂

New stamp set/thin cut Z4656 New Kid on the Block; Cardstock: Mink, Espresso, French Vanilla; Old Papers (Spruced Up, New England Ivy); Old Ink (Sangria - second generation); and Retired Stamp (congrats is from C1790 Swwet Girl - Cardmaking); watercolor pencils Z3630 (Ocean Blue, Elephant Gray(clouds), Turtle Green, Mustard Yellow, Camellia Pink, Mandarin, and Queen Purple); Pattern 27 from Make it from Your Heart vol. 1.

Album Retreat. There is another one in February, but you need to order the bundle by January 10th. I highly recommend it. It seems expensive, but if you break it down, it's a good deal.

You'll make 11 two-page layouts. You learn new techniques that you can use again. You get product that you'll use again. You don't have to travel far - just a room in your house. It's on Facebook and can be replayed.

Created this card for a friends bridal shower.

Melon, Nectarine, Sage, Pebble (retired), Pine, and pine and melon glitter paper. Really pleased how these turned out 🙂

Taught this technique to middle schoolers this week. Pretty cool!
