Super excited to present FilmsPositive's latest collaboration with the Windsor Theatre Guild in Berkshire for "Nell Gwynn" by Jessica Swale, coming this July! 🎭📽
Our humble super short film on a virus that is killing our children slowly and there is no cure for it yet. is killing our society and it's not going anywhere. Every time we tighten our laws, it comes back with a vengeance. So what can we do?
Remove our mask of fake decency, and talk about it. Have difficult conversations in our homes. If someone tells you they were , don't judge them for being weak, or damaged, or deranged. Hear them out, and bear witness. Look inside of you - is there a hiding, or worse a ?
This film was created during the covid-19 . Written by the prolific and amazing, , it features Rahat Nusrat, Rohit Pahade and their two beautiful children Seher and Azaan. Given the taboo around this subject, these children and their parents showed bravery and courage to put their faces.
A FilmsPositive film made with Cactus Foundation.
Directed by Anshul Tiwari

As artists we have an inescapable urge to make sense of our world and having a say. We want to bear witness. The bleaker the times, the more important this task of "bearing witness". At a time, when us filmmakers face a lockdown on our methods of expression, we have felt this "say" stronger than ever. Thankfully, I was allowed to create this film, to express, to bear witness and to make sense of these strange times. Through this story, I have tried to offer the private life of a family battling with the tension and uncertainty of coronavirus.
My gratitude to the producer Ning Lee who came onboard and sailed the ship through choppy seas. She teamed with the ace first assistant director Kiang Dharf and together her team have "MADE this film"!
Shout out to the cinematographer Grace Baey and her team. You guys are really good at this. Like, really good. Tay Li Guo did his magic to the sound.
Danial Razak, the colourist, who made the film look legit and Debasmita Dasgupta who did the “invisible" job of art direction to allow the story to pull you in. Boban James, who lent his aesthetic talent by photographing our work.
Starring Kiah Lim Cheng, Peggy Tan, Esther Leong and Fish Chaar - our insanely talented actors and humble, tireless servants of the craft.
Lastly, I am truly indebted to for coming forward and believing in the story and letting it come out. Power to and who have supported us creatives during this pandemic.

Another awesome review for
This time by Asian Movie Pulse 📣📣
••
" ... Sugee Cake is a celebration of the strength of family, both by showing the lasting effect of loved ones after their passing, and a family’s ability to come together after a tough time ... From my own experience, it was hard not to tear up at the final revelation of what the wife left behind for her husband; it is such a lovely gesture that is expertly established and executed by director . Overall, “Sugee Cake” is a healthy dose of positivity that celebrates the importance of family.."《💟
