Please note that the firehouse will be open tomorrow to vote.
Update -
The Floral Park Centre Fire Company regrets to announce the passing of our chaplain, Fr. Paul Chenot. Your services and friendship will be missed. Rest in peace.
Update - arrangements at this time are that there will be no viewing, a funeral mass will be celebrated first week in January. We will post that date and location when made available.
Santa had a much nicer day weather wise in PA than in FPC.
URGENT
Due to the current storm track, Santa will not be going thru the district this afternoon. Santa will be at the Firehouse @ 94 Mckee St. from 2pm-4pm for all to visit!
Unfortunately the Floral Park Centre Fire Co. is not the only ones experiencing a lack of volunteers. This is detremtal to everyone who live in our communities!!!!!
We are based on volunteers from our neighborhood. NO ONE Is paid! Think about this- IF no one volunteers and you called because your house is on fire — who would come to help. 🤔
VOLUNTEER TODAY !
Normally there are no political issues posted here however this effects many LI’ers and people need to be made aware of this-
Folks this photo says it clearly. ALL Long Islanders from Brooklyn to Montauk MUST PAY to get off of LI- no matter which route you use. The Gov. doesn’t care but perhaps County Executives Blakeman and Bellone will. Please write them and express your displeasure.
Ps- Oh and think about this too- Every item you purchase from food to paper clips at the Dollar store to Amazon/Wish/Temu, etc will certainly reflect a price increase for this.
Today we remember those lost on this day 22 years ago, and those subsequently lost as a result of 9/11 illnesses.
We should also remember the 4 US citizens lost during the attack on a US compound in Benghazi on 9/11/12.
A sneak peek into the life of a firefighter PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — They put their lives on the line for their community, and they do it without getting paid. We’re talking about volunteer firefighters in NEPA. But most …
On this date in Firecom history: 50 years ago on August 3rd, 1973, Firecom signed on the air for the very first time! We would like to take a moment to thank all the Firecom Dispatchers past and present for providing exceptional services to the people of Nassau County.
We share our sorrow with the Newark Fire Department upon the loss of two of their members yesterday.
A Happy 4th to all, be safe and-
Don’t forget to fly ‘Old Glory’ today!!!
Good morning all. If you didn’t get an opportunity to Fly the Flag on Memorial Day, today is another chance to do so-
May this Mother’s Day bring you as much happiness as you bring to your family.
Enjoy your special day!”
This evening members from our department and all Nassau County fire departments attended the annual Nassau County Firefighters Memorial service in Port Washington.
This service honors all our firefighters that were lost last year. Today we also honored one of our own, Firefighter Toni Umile.
To all our members and all firefighters -
Thank you for your service!
On Saturday members of the Fire Company attended our annual installation dinner.
Congrats to all members!
PLEASE we are not looking for congrats or ‘good job’ but this is an example of how volunteering makes a difference in your community.
Today 2 members were traveling in the neighborhood when they recognized a potentially sensitive missing child running in the street. They stopped (members advised that numerous pedestrians and vehicles simply passed by) they notified and waited until NYPD arrived and was advised the child was a missing person.
The members were able to identify that this was a potentially tragic situation due to their training and experience and their commitment to helping the community. This is one of the many benefits of being a volunteer firefighter supporting our community in many respects.
Please consider volunteering -
