Interesting thoughts in light of current theaters of conflict. And I emphasize the word theaters. Part actual, part fiction. But let's focus on the actual for a minute...
The Museum Civilization
by InfantryDort, Jan 13, 2026
There is a peculiar class of modern Westerner who believes history has been permanently retired.
They speak of conquest the way a child speaks of wolves. Simply confident it no longer applies, offended that you would even mention it, and deeply upset when reminded that teeth still exist.
They insist the world runs on rules now and that borders are sacred. Also that true power has been replaced by paperwork.
This belief is not moral in the least. It’s f*****g archaeological.
They live inside institutions built by violence, defended by men they no longer understand, and guaranteed by forces they refuse to acknowledge. Like tourists wandering a fortress, they admire the stonework while mocking the idea of a siege.
They confuse order with nature. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Then blame the person that reminds them of this.
Civilization is not the default state of humanity. It is an achievement that is temporary, fragile, and expensive. It exists only where force once cleared the ground and still quietly patrols the perimeter.
A lion does not debate the ethics of hunger. Neither does a starving empire.
History is not a morality play, it is a pressure test. When pressure rises, abstractions collapse first. Laws follow power; they do NOT precede it. Property exists only where someone can prevent it from being taken. Sovereignty is not declared, it is enforced.
The modern West outsourced this enforcement, then forgot the invoice existed.
So when someone points out uncomfortable realities (whether about Greenland, Venezuela, or the broader balance of power) they respond with ritual incantations: “You can’t do that.” “That’s wrong.” “That’s against the rules.”
As if the rules themselves are armed. As if history paused because we asked nicely.
This is how empires fall. Not from invasion alone, but from conceptual rot. From mistaking a long season of safety for a permanent condition. From believing lethality is immoral instead of foundational.
Every civilization that forgot how violence works eventually relearned it the hard way. The conquerors did not arrive because they were monsters; they arrived because their victims could no longer imagine them.
The tragedy is not that power still exists. The tragedy is that so many have forgotten it does.
I don't know who needs to hear this but civilization is a garden grown atop a graveyard. Ignore the soil, and someone else will plant something far less gentle.

Neil Kramer returns to talk with Anthony Astbury, host of the Whole Man Academy podcast.
Anthony writes, “Neil Kramer returns to unpack media manipulation, elections, spiritual warfare, and the psychological battle modern men are facing. We go deep on: media, empire, fake elections, immigration, scrolling addiction, faith, and purpose, and the psychological war being waged on modern men. This isn’t a surface-level political chat. It’s a conversation about spiritual reality, responsibility, masculinity, and truth. If you’ve felt something is “off” in the world… But you can’t quite articulate what… This one’s for you.”

Mel writes: “Tonight we open Season 18 of Veritas, and Neil Kramer returns at the moment when clarity is needed most. Neil never appears during quiet chapters. He arrives when the atmosphere tightens, when the horizon shifts, when people sense a deeper truth moving beneath the noise. And right now, the air is very thin.
In a climate like this, truth-telling has become a countercultural act. The real question is how to remain spiritually upright in a world shaped by intentional confusion. How to keep agency, clarity, and inner strength as the old structures fall away. Tonight we go directly into that territory. No filters. No evasion.”

Hard to believe it’s the end of October already. I have been a busy bee this year. With extended travel, a full teaching roster, writing, and my own daily studies and practice, my time has been merrily devoured.
You know, not being much of a social media person, usually the busier I am in my life, the quieter I am publicly. If I had a PR guy, he’d probably tell me I do the very worst things imaginable to market myself and cultivate audience-reach or whatever. And he’d be right. Nonetheless, for those who follow my periodic transmissions and wonder what’s what, I’m just heartily ploughing my furrow as usual. Thank the Lord. Like most people, the majority of what I do is pretty invisible, unless you happen to be stood next to me. Old school like that.
A few visible things. The next Roamcast is in the works. Taking a while to put together. So many complex topics I want to highlight and distill. Hopefully, germane and edifying to listeners. When my outline notes are finished, I’ll find some barren hillside and go out and record. An escapade in itself in the autumnal Pacific Northwest. Then I’ll spend a week editing my ramblings into a listenable state. In December, I also have my annual conversation with Mel at Veritas. Always topical and entertaining. Especially this year. UPDATE. I'll also be talking to Anthony Astbury from the Whole Man Academy in the new year. We had a super conversation last time and I know we'll do something cool again. I look forward to sharing that with you. So hopefully you’ll enjoy those. In the meantime, I hope you guys are well and adeptly navigating the innumerable fake world events with dispassion and amusement. More on that later. God bless you. NK

Empire wages a single constant war against good people. Its whole raison d'être is to demoralize humanity. Been going on for about six thousand years. All "wars" I have seen in my lifetime have been staged pretexts for that one war. Russia, Ukraine, Palestine, Iran, Israel, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Nigeria, Congo, Sudan. Not what they appear at all.
What "the screen" tells us about the war narratives, war images, and war people is always fake. Fake doesn't mean physical things don't happen and people don't come to harm. It means events don't happen like the screen tells you. Sometimes physical things don't happen at all, even though it sure as hell looks like they do. Either way, I have never seen a single real war, arising for real reasons, reported on in a real way. Never.
On the supernatural level, what the bad guys are after is your BELIEF. Belief which is harnessed through their eliciting your misplaced emotional charge. Anxiety, anger, despair, a sense of powerlessness. Precisely what many people feel when they BELIEVE the headlines, look at the all-important pictures, and worry about the future. Perfect conditions for a person to impulsively perceive incorrectly and make bad decisions - all founded on false information. Which may seriously affect the soul's wellbeing.
On the other hand, if you don't believe the screen's illusions, magic tricks, and deceptive words and pictures, when you do stumble upon the pigswill of BBC, CNN, Fox, AP, Reuters, etc - it will not disrupt your thoughts and emotions. Because you recognize that it's not reality. So you don't spout negative emotional fuel for empire.
When I spend time "taking an interest in world affairs" (which is not very much), I NEVER BELIEVE what the screen is telling me. Not for one second. Neither mainstream or independent, liberal or conservative. Especially not liberal. And especially not concerning "wars". I recognize I have to hunt down real information for myself. Take the time and study things carefully. God wants us to think for ourselves and make considered, rational, courageous decisions about what is real and what is not. That stuff really matters to him. What we believe and why. Right now is a perfect time to exercise this crucial discipline.

Love wandering around this place. It's a sheltered estuary in rural NW Washington State, bordered by woodland, rivers, and forested mountains. Abundant in life, both aerial, aquatic, and land-based. Home to eagles, hawks, harriers, ospreys, owls, cormorants, herons, orcas, dolphins, seals, otters, coyotes, mountain lions, black bears. The latter two viewed ideally from a distance. Beautiful weather here for mid-April too. And best of all, nobody around! So tranquil and replenishing. Thank God, even amid the pervading fallenness of the sepulchral world classroom, there are precious moments and spaces like these. So important to carve-out time as best we can in our busy lives. Perspective re-balance. Precious spiritual practice.

This inquisitive face appeared suddenly at the living room window on Sunday morning. Magically disarming.

One of the most common questions people ask me is, "why do so many people have zero interest in pursuing truth?" Whilst they may say that truth is valuable to them, in multiple areas of life, it palpably isn't. Why is this? My gut answer is because people rightly associate truth with pain. And they are unwilling to suffer. Period. So they busy themselves with everything in life except truth. Solomon wrote piercingly about this and connected themes in his book Ecclesiastes, found in every bible. Dripping with wisdom. Every paragraph. If you're not familiar with it, go and read it... slowly. The whole thing is only 8-10 pages long in most bibles. The backdrop painting behind the quote is The Monk By The Sea (1808) by Caspar David Friedrich.
