It's worth bearing in mind the truth in the old saying, 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.' If a particular person is keen to copy what you do, then they clearly see you as someone inspiring or a leader. But even if you've 'shown them the ropes' and they've now become a competitor or adversary, there's no reason why, with the knowledge and experience you possess, you can't come out on top.
