Why did it take so long for me to try Acai powder in my coffee? It seems like a natural paring. I get all the great benefits of a superfood and add a bit of bitter berry flavor at the same time! I was trying to think of how to describe the taste of Acai, but I found an answer online that is way funnier, albeit accurate, than I could ever explain. " slightly tart with an earthy backbone, with notes of raspberry, pomegranate and a pinch of dirt" I just love that pitch of dirt part! But it is indeed an earthy berry flavor, which I find perfect for a dark roast or espresso drink!
