Did you know, our second busiest period of the year is the week immediately following Amazon Prime Day(s)? With that being said, we are expecting a large influx of mail from 14 through 21 July 2025 for the Military Post Offices throughout Okinawa. To minimize the effects of Primenesia, we ask that you pick up your packages in a timely manner as our shelves will be full!
Resolved: Power has been restored. 8 July 2025: Attention Camp Lester Post Office Customers, due to an unscheduled power outage, the Camp Lester post office will NOT be staffed until the power is restored. However, mail is being processed and delivered to PSC boxes and parcel lockers. The PSC section and parcel lockers will be available to customers. Package pickup for oversized parcels will be available shortly after power is restored.

All Marine Corps operated post offices will be closed on Friday, 4 July 2025 in observance of 🎆 Independence Day 🎆 . We will reopen on Monday, 7 July 2025 from 1200-1800 for package delivery and prepaid postage acceptance only. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, 8 July 2025.

Update 0927 30 June 2025: Power has been restored to the Lester Post Office. We have resumed normal operations.
Update: Unscheduled Power Outage resolved: 30 June 2025: Attention Camp Lester Post Office Customers, due to an unscheduled power outage, the Camp Lester post office will NOT be staffed until the power is restored. However, mail is being processed and delivered to PSC boxes and parcel lockers. The PSC section and parcel lockers will be available to customers. Package pickup for oversized parcels will be available shortly after power is restored.

🚨 Attention Camp Lester Post Office Customers 🚨
Due to a scheduled power outage, the Camp Lester Post Office will not be staffed from 0830-1530 on 1 July 2025. Mail will be sorted and delivered to customer’s PSC boxes and parcel lockers prior to the outage. Customers will have access to their PSC boxes and parcel lockers during the outage. Once the power outage has concluded, the post office will resume normal operations.

👉19 June 2025 Post Office Closure and Postal Typhoon Season Information👈
On 19 June 2025, all Marine Corps operated Military Post Offices will be closed. We will reopen on 20 June 2025 from 1200 to 1800 for package delivery and prepaid acceptance only. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, 23 June 2025.
🌀Postal Typhoon Season Information🌀
MCB Camp Butler is officially in typhoon season. Postal operations and mail services will continue as normal during TCCOR 4 and 3. Should TCCOR-2 be declared, patrons should expect mail delays. Upon declaration of TCCOR-1, patrons should expect reduced/limited postal services. All post offices will be secured once TCCOR-1C is declared. All postal operations and mail services will resume normal operations once TCCOR-SW or TCCOR-4/AC is given.

“The Secretary of the Navy takes pleasure in awarding the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal to Sgt Zacharias Owczarzak.” Sgt Owczarzak had been instrumental in the success of the postal mission here at Camp Butler. We wish you the best in the Marine Corps Reseves.

Congratulations to MGySgt Barr, outgoing MCIPAC Region Postal Chief. MGySgt Barr was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for actions during his tenure with Marine Corps Installations Pacific.
Congratulations to SSgt Pruitt, the outgoing Marine Corps Base Camp Butler Postal Operations Chief. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his time with Camp Butler.
