If there are any seniors or people that are not feeling well in Southern Brooklyn who needs someone to shop for them, I have organized some volunteers to make grocery trips.

This is being done to keep the most vulnerable people and those not feeling well home during this time. I can also deliver free hand soap that has been donated by a benefactor to anyone who is in need.

You can choose to call ahead to the store to place your order or reimburse the volunteer before/after the delivery.

Our volunteers follow strict hygiene guidelines, including social distancing, wearing gloves, and sanitizing the shopping bags and baskets. Money is slipped under the door, and groceries are left outside, so physical contact is minimized.

Call or text my cell phone if you need me to lend a hand. Strong communities are built by people like us. Steven Patzer - +1 (929) 320-6201

Any recommendations for good shoe repair store in the area please. Thanks.
does anyone know when the new lottery is taking place?
Why do we even have this? Especially right outside the entrance.
It would be nice if people clean up the mess when dogs urinate in the lobby. I had three issues last night in building one.

Many cooperators are in the habit of feeding the pigeons and squirrels on our property. Although it is done with the best of intentions, you must be mindful of the fact that throwing food, such as breadcrumbs or peanuts, tends to attract other rodents to the property as well.

Over the years, many cooperators have suffered major damage to their vehicles from rodents seeking shelter during the winter. These rodents also love to eat the wires under the hood of vehicles, which is very costly to repair.

Amalgamated Warbasse Houses, Inc is trying to eliminate this wildlife from dwelling on our property and your cooperation is essential.

In order to get this matter under control, we are implementing a point infraction system for anyone caught feeding the pigeons and squirrels on our property. Each infraction will cost you 8 points.

As a reminder, once any apartment reaches 24 points, the shareholder becomes a “cooperator not in good standing.” That means you will lose certain privileges such as a parking spot or place on the waiting list; your membership in the fitness center; your ability to rent a community room; and the ability to transfer apartments.

It is very difficult trying to keep this community rodent free. Let’s work together to keep it that way.

IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE

TO: ALL COOPERATORS
FROM: THOMAS AULETTI, MANAGER, RAM, nyarm
DATE: DECEMBER 10, 2021
RE: MANDATORY FACE-COVERING REQUIREMENT
EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 13, 2021

Governor Kathy Hochul announced that face coverings will be required to be worn in all indoor public places starting Monday, December 13, 2021, therefore, everyone will be required to wear a face-covering while inside the buildings, riding in an elevator or utilizing one of the laundry rooms (regardless of vaccination status).

Even if you have no symptoms of COVID, you can still be carrying the virus and can still infect others. There is also a new variant called Omicron that appears to be spreading quickly and is much more transmissible.

As a reminder, we live in a community with many frail and elderly people and when you do not wear a mask, you are endangering each and every one of them. Please be considerate and protect your fellow neighbors.

Your cooperation is essential in keeping everyone safe.

COOLING SEASON DELAYED DUE TO FIRE

On Thursday, May 13, 2021, a fire occurred within the cooling tower of the power plant. The fire caused irreparable damage to a significant section of the cooling tower that provides cooling to the entire development.

A plan was developed, and temporary cooling towers have been ordered. Upon delivery, they will be installed in the parking area of the power plant. Once they are set in place, additional work will be required to connect them to our existing equipment so that we can provide cooling.

Unfortunately, we will be unable to provide cooling to the development by Memorial Day weekend. Our team and contractors understand the importance of being able to provide cooling to the residents and we are doing everything possible to have the cooling system operational within the next couple of weeks. Due to the current limited capacity of the plant due to the fire and before the installation of the temporary cooling towers, we urge our residents to be very careful with adding temporary air conditioners. In order not to abuse the limited capacity, and remembering that our buildings are over 67 years old, our engineers informed us that any air conditioner should not exceed 8000 BTU’s and not to allow more than one unit per apartment as adding more WILL place additional pressure on the existing capacity of the plant.

We thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work on not only a temporary solution, but a permanent one as well.

RE: EMERGENCY HOT WATER SHUTDOWN
TONIGHT, APRIL 15TH STARTING AT 11:00PM

Due to an emergency repair on the central hot water system located in the power plant, hot water must be shut down tonight, Thursday, April 15th, at 11:00PM.

Although the power plant anticipates the repair to take several hours, they expect hot water to be restored to the entire development on or before 6:00AM (Friday, April 16th).

During this critical repair, cold water will not be affected.

Since hot water will be shut down at 11:00PM, all laundry rooms will be closed one (1) hour early this evening.

We apologize for this unforeseen inconvenience.

COVID IS RAGING IN BRIGHTON BEACH
AND CONEY ISLAND – WORSE THAN EVER!

THE POSITIVITY RATES HERE ARE
AMONG THE HIGHEST IN THE ENTIRE CITY

EVEN AFTER YOU RECEIVE THE COVID VACCINE, YOU MUST CONTINUE TO WEAR A MASK IN THE BUILDINGS

The COVID vaccine does not keep you from becoming infected with the virus – it just keeps you from becoming very sick if you do get infected. Even after you are vaccinated, you can still become infected with COVID and you can still infect other people. So please be aware that all people in the buildings – residents and guests – are still required to wear a mask in all public areas, regardless of vaccination status.
