EASTER INLINE SKATE CAMP 14-18 APRIL

A pilot test for a new concept: a week-long (14-18 April) inline skate camp during the Easter holidays. Open to inline skaters of all ages and skill levels. Led by Ryan from the UK who will teach trick focused inline skating or aggressive inline skating. A great way to learn new skills, make new friends, and have a great time on wheels.

When: 14-18 April everyday from 4pm til 6pm
Where: Blaarmeersen skatepark, Gent, Belgium
Prize: €50 per person for the full week

Backup indoor skatepark SBA Gent will cost €5 extra entree fee per person when raining.
Maximum 10 spots available.

Raw desert power and long time friend from Arica, Chile, woke up early with me to have the bee hive concrete dirt park for us alone. I needed a model to take shots in what is one of the highest state of the art DIY skateparks. Matias is the most professional hard working inline skater you could wish for. He hit the pole a hundred times til’ I was satisfied with the photo.
He is as addicted to inline skating as me and you will never guess his age.

Gilles Buelens was having a hard time landing the trick the way he wanted. Sadly it started to rain when he got really close. We literally had to stop him because it was starting to become too dangerous with the wet entry and landing. Luckily the clouds cleared and with the help of a mop borrowed from he landed it not too long after. Just a split second later a boat full of ladies passed by. Ofcourse he had to land it again for such a crowd. And ofcourse, Gentleman Buelens, laced it a second time, even cleaner.

Glad the editing for this one is over, I’ve seen enough Gilles Buelens ‘s up close for a while. About 10 hours of cutting all these golden boys out plus editing.
Anyways, it was worth it. What a trick at what a spot. My head can’t wrap around the fact he ain’t sponsored yet.
