A letter to my younger self:

Dear sweet innocent little Darlene,
I know you're confused right now. Your sadness looks like anger to protect you and your siblings. That it doesn't all makes much sense in this moment. But its time to let it all go, now.

You can play, you can cry and you can be your sweet creative self now.

One day God will put someone in your life who will heal all the parts of you that needed that love, comfort and safety. He will be the protector and provider your dad wasn't able to be. He will be the calm in the storm when it feels like it's all falling apart. He will show you daily with action and attention how a Dad shows up for his child every, single, day.

Sweet baby girl, you are so loved. You are worthy of being well. You will find your tribe and you will get through all of this and then some.

I release you. Go play. Go be a kid again. Be at peace.

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of playing for .hall.healing at during the Recovery Day Event. Encode and Tai Pu rock the decks and microphone. Even the little MDX as he likes to call himself, rocked out.

Was just offered one of those dreamy 3-hour DJ sets. The kind where you can take people on a journey through space and time. The creative juices are flowing and the energy is growing... should I take it?

If you're kicking it around The Forks today ( Sunday Sept 7th), I'll be DJing some drum and bass between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. Encode MC Tia Pu and special guest will be joining us for drum and bass between 4-5pm.

We will be at the Magic Hall Sober Lounge and will be serving up some fancy beverages.
