This has been a favorite during the hot weekends lately! Layer your favorite yogurt (I used Wallabys Vanilla Bean) and top with nuts, chocolate, caramel. I have even used h**p seeds on another version. Freeze, take out, break apart and top with fresh fruit. We have loved it with peaches recently. 🍑🍫
Kicking off the weekend with a fresh summer salad. Delish! 🤤 ☀️

Food . Fork . Faces
There is something I like to call “table time” where “food, fork, and face’s meet”. Whether two or ten, this time spent with a table between us can be one of the most beautiful things. This is where we can come together and share our highs and lows in life, pour out our heart’s, and sort through difficulties we face. When we can look one another in the eye and unplug from our daily tasks. In the fast paced world we live in, it is vital to have time like this with one another, and it reaches beyond surface connections we have online. Conversation pieces that remind us that some of the ugliest pieces of the puzzle can be transformed into beauty beyond description. Not just in circumstances, but within. I have found that “table time” is a place to unwind, reflect, and connect with those I love, and those who just need an ear to listen. Sometimes I create a meal the only way I know how, from scratch and with much thought on how the flavors of each dish will collide with one another, other times… we all just bring a dish to share. I cannot help but to set a table with fresh flowers like the one I threw together in the photograph above. It took me all of five minutes to trim and place fresh flower’s and a few natural sprigs across the table. This is something that takes place and is so dear to this heart of mine, yet at times I find a roadblock with some. Not everyone is open to going to the same place and embarking on the adventure. Those who are always walk away full in every way. I do not think it is strange that even Jesus set a table and broke bread with those closest to him, the disciples. He knew the power of being across from one another and sharing with food and wine in hand. For this reason, I love time spent in the kitchen and everything encapsulating the plates at a table, unique pieces to serve with as well as the faces I sit across from. At home or around town, life is viewed through “table time” in such a great way!
