Who doesn't love a good sequel? 🧜♀️ I've been enjoying mermaid life while returning to the waters near Sea Haven with this sweet, satisfying sequel to Alicia Rades' "Deep Waters." I'm currently in production on book 2, "Rising Tides," and look forward to getting it into your ears soon. If you haven't listened to book 1 yet, now's a great time to check it out!
Another Exotic Art Show Spectacular is in the books for Alwun House! There was incredible turn out, people were loving all the performers - sh***ri creating a human bouquet in the gallery, wonderful galactic cowboy live body painting downstairs, jazz in the West garden and a bevy of talented performers on the main stage! The weather was perfect, the crowd looked amazing and the art throughout was exciting, exotic and exhilarating.
I sadly didn't do much documenting this year 😭, just got a few shots overlooking the people and gardens. It means a lot to have such great turnout to support what Alwun House does to give local artists a home gallery, a place to grow, and to continue to be a Third Space for so many in our community.
I believe in the mission, and live my life at the intersection of several communities that feel at home at Alwun House. It's a special place in the community with a long history, establishing itself as a cornerstone of the arts district. I've been a volunteer here for years, and it's an honor to become their newest Board member.

Voyage Phoenix Magazine reached out for an interview and I was happy to chat about how I became established as a professional voice actor and narrator. The chutzpah I had in high school got me into a radio station and kicked things off for me. I carried that same confidence with me for years to beat the odds and make a full time career of this work. I also get honest about some challenges I've had to overcome along the way. My love for Alwun House and my gluten-free micro-bakery get a mention in there, as well.

A quick December update on all my acting projects and also news about my gluten free micro-bakery below. I've got audiobooks in the works but nothing I can share with you here, unfortunately! I realized it's been a minute since I've offered a project update! I'm keeping busy with all the administrative and day-to-day tasks of my voiceover business - reaching out to past corporate clients, revamping some of my marketing materials and demos, submitting to rosters and alllll the auditions. For a while now, voiceover has been about more than just having a good agent and a nice voice, you're running a small business that requires a different kind of mindset.
As for my audiobook work, my audiobook schedule actually has some openings for new projects. I love working with indie authors and offer full production of retail-ready audiobooks. Now that I think about it, most of the awards I've won have been on indie projects! There's room for real magic to happen when partnering with great writers!
I've also been narrating a few series under my pseudonyms. That's a common practice for narrators who choose to separate their work under different names so listeners know what to expect, content-wise.
I'm having some electrical work done in my house later this week so there's no time like the present to refresh my tea and get back in the booth!
🍵 Speaking of tea, what's your go-to hot drink this time of year? I'm starting my day with some Moroccan Mint and plan to supplement with my old standby, French press coffee with a little lavender syrup.

While a lot of friends follow my business page, I figured a proper career introduction might clue you in to a few things you might not know about my skillset.
🎙️I'm a long-time voice actor, audiobook narrator and producer. My background is in commercial production, including writing and editing. From my pro home studio, I provide audio that meets the specs for any online or internal corporate projects, audiobooks (producing retail-ready audio), videogames and animation, and full production and script assistance for commercials.
🎥 I also enjoy creating promotional video content. For the nearly 2 years I served as Volunteer Coordinator at Alwun House, I took joy in being a primary contributing content creator, editing and producing videos to promote and recap events through social media.
This narration video demo includes 2 previously produced videos that have been remixed and re-recorded, and 2 I created from licensed stock. The act of creating this video demo is an exhibition of my multimedia skills as well as narration abilities, and I had a blast creating the audio demo and accompanying video to share with you.
