The biggest reason I fell in love with music. It’s because of him that I learned to listen with wonder. Growing up in the 80s and 90s…before the internet…he was my window to sounds I’d never heard before. I use to be spellbound by the music he introduced me to. From his travels, he would bring home audio cassettes, CDs, and recordings of music channels, making me listen to music that sparked a sense of wonder. That same feeling is what I still chase every time I listen to music today. A true lover of music…and everything I love about it, I owe to him.

I miss him deeply, but find solace in knowing I had the gift of calling him my father in this lifetime. I still find pieces of him in what he’s left behind…especially in music.
