GW Has A Heart

With heart disease being one of the leading causes of death in the United States, it is imperative that an intervention takes place to improve the overall health and well-being both locally and globally. Heart health is a crucial component in living a healthy, happy life and beginning preventative measures at a young age can have a major impact on individuals' future health.

GW HERO, a student support organization at The George Washington University, has recently launched a program to encourage heart health throughout the entire month of February. We are partnering with a variety of organizations on and off campus to promote physical activity and cardiovascular health awareness throughout the DC community. We believe that simple lifestyle changes can lead to drastic improvements in the overall health and well-being of individuals of all ages.
