We welcome the school community once again for the Annual Ed Tech Summit on Feb 6-7, 2020 which will be hosted by Mahattattva at NIIT University, Neemrana. The Ed Tech Summit Series, an annual affair, has successfully witnessed five summits, every year since 2014. It has been selected by the Centre for Technology, Innovation and Competition (CTIC) at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) to be converted into a case study. The innovation also recently received accolades at BETT Asia 2019, wherein Ms Deepti Sawhney, the Founder of the Summit received the Leadership Award. The Summits have focused on showcasing collaborative student projects that stem from technology integration in the classroom and involve the community.

We recommend that schools send students of Grade 6,7, 8,9 and 11. Schools may send up to 2 teams of 5 each, with atleast one teacher.

MAHATTATTVA'S
ED TECH SUMMIT 2019-20

THEME: CREATIVITY INNOVATION ENTREPRENEURSHIP

FEB 6-7, 2020
STUDENT-LED CONFERENCE
Venue: NIIT University,
Neemrana, Rajasthan

We welcome the school community once again for Mahattattva’s Ed Tech Summit on Feb 6-7, 2020 at NIIT University, Neemrana. The Ed Tech Summit Series, an annual affair, has successfully witnessed five summits, every year since 2014. It has been selected by the Centre for Technology, Innovation and Competition (CTIC) at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) to be converted into a case study. The innovation also recently received accolades at BETT Asia 2019, wherein Ms Deepti Sawhney, CEO, Founder received the Leadership Award. The Summits have focused on showcasing collaborative student projects that stem from technology integration in the classroom and involve the community.

In order to facilitate this movement, Mahattattva holds Boot Camps in different cities every year and gets students to understand the concept of developing prototypes for social change, using Design Thinking. The schools then work with partner schools and develop their own projects. The participating students use Digital Storytelling to showcase their experience and the Mahattattva Annual Summit is a platform for the students to come and celebrate their projects. This event is completely student-led. The rubrics are created by the students and the entire process is peer-evaluated. This event envisages to provide entrepreneurial experiences to students before they leave the K12 space and substantiates existing pedagogical approaches in schools.

This year, we will showcase the projects that the schools are working on but we will also evaluate the projects that are developed onsite. The students will undergo the Design Thinking Boot Camp on Day 1(Feb 6, 2020) and create their prototypes, working with other schools. They will then receive constructive feedback from the best of the corporate world on Day 2 (Feb 7, 2020). The teachers and students will also get a chance to experience the latest in pedagogies from around the globe in the form of hands-on workshops.
