Join the EAC and the City of Edmonton - Local Government to celebrate the launch of LIVING PORTRAITS, a public art and augmented reality exhibition.

Public Launch: January 31 from 1 - 3 pm at Edmonton City Hall

The afternoon will include light refreshments from Gen X Caribbean Bakery, and a DJ set by Mr. Kou. Opening remarks at 1:30 pm by Mayor Andrew Knack, City Manager Eddie Robar, EAC CEO Renée Williams, and curator Darren Jordan.

LOOK · APPROACH · ENGAGE

LIVING PORTRAITS is an exhibition (on display Jan 31 - Jun 16, 2026) celebrating Black artists in Edmonton through a journey of visibility, curiosity, and connection. This exhibition moves beyond representation toward relationships. It affirms that visibility alone is not enough—true belonging begins with attention, proximity, and listening.

Developed within the framework of the City of Edmonton Anti-Black Racism Action Plan.

This is a public event, but RSVPs are appreciated! To RSVP, please email [email protected].

A bit of a late post, as I have been focused on recent events. I am glad to reveal that I had the honour to be apart of a project covering the life journey of Canadian legend and Jazz great, pianist Oscar Peterson.
The graphic novel “When Freedom Sings”, was created for classrooms in Canada with various tools and resources available. The digital version is available to read now.
I want to thank Teach Magazine for giving me this opportunity and will never forget it. Thank you.
