We make it possible for boys and male youth to discover their treasure and reclaim their lost glory. Empowering exceptional young men

In many parts of the world, football (soccer) is a universal language that unites people together. At Lifesong Kenya, we use football as a tool that brings our community of staff, volunteers and boys together.

On the field, the intention behind a kick of ball is to model essential life skills and values that enable our boys to acquire empathy, love, care and responsibility. Above all else, our aim is to develop and nurture boys and exceptional young men who will treat women and girls with honor, dignity and respect.

This is what is behind every kick of a ball during our After-school Program.

Celebrating a Milestone

A few weeks ago, Lifesong Kenya, through our Bottle Upcycling Project, had the pleasure of collaborating with the amazing Kijabe Kahawa and the outcome was fantastic!

We are grateful for their trust and appreciation of the final product. Not only did we transform these glass bottles into unique glasses, we gave them a new purpose and combined environmental consciousness with a unique and personal touch.

Do you have used wine bottles that you would like us to transform into beautiful and functional household products?

Please get in touch with us!

Due to cultural norms, boys and young men who face sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment against boys are treated as a taboo subject. This makes it difficult to find resources, funding and partners for our programs and activities at Lifesong Kenya.

Boys who are survivors of sexual assault are often overlooked due to harmful gender stereotypes, stigma, and a lack of resources.

Many are too ashamed to come forward, and society's focus on female survivors leaves boys without the support they need. This silence deepens their trauma, leading to further emotional and psychological harm.

At Lifesong Kenya, we aim to change this by breaking the stigma, raising awareness, and providing inclusive support systems that are tailored to the needs of male survivors. It is time to create safe spaces, offer counseling, and amplify the voices of boys and young men who are survivors of sexual assault and violence.

Let us ensure that boys receive the help they deserve—because their healing matters too.

Promises Made, Promises Kept!

At Lifesong Kenya, we believe that keeping promises is crucial, especially to the boys and exceptional young men who we serve. Today, we delivered on our commitment to add soccer to our weekend reading activities—and the smiles on their faces said it all!

When we keep our promises, we teach these young men the values of trust, responsibility and integrity. These lessons go beyond the field and the classroom—they shape our boys into men of dignity, respect, and honor.

Together, we are building a future where these boys can thrive, knowing they are supported every step of the way.

At Lifesong Kenya, we are using cycling as a powerful tool to equip boys with the skills they need to grow into exceptional men of promise, dignity, respect, and honor.

Through cycling, they learn responsibility, discipline and resilience, which helps to build character and shape their future.

It is essential for boys to see us model these virtues in our own actions. When we demonstrate dignity, respect, and honor, they understand the true meaning of these values and are inspired to live by them.

As a result, our leading by example empowers them to believe in their potential and strive to become men who contribute positively to their communities.

The end result is equipping exceptional young men who treat women and girls with dignity, respect and honor, thereby thriving in an enabling environment that nurtures growth and development for all community members.

Meet Alfa Madegwa

A few years ago, Alfa was among the first group of young men who showed interest in joining our mentorship program at our Halfway House.

Alfa joined us together with other students from Kenswed Organization Vocational Training. After his graduation this year, Alfa has returned to our Halfway House as a volunteer and thanks to his skills and expertise, our lights, water taps and other things that had broken down are now running smoothly.

On top of this, he is also volunteering through our After-school Program and helping with reading, writing and inspiring our boys to become a better version of themselves.

Thank you Alfa for sowing seeds of greatness!

Empowering Future Exceptional Young Men!

Today was another amazing and incredible session at Lifesong Kenya’s After-School Program!

Our weekly weekend program engages boys in reading, creative writing and activities that challenge their minds and build their confidence and self-esteem.

Through storytelling and group reading, they are not just learning to read, but also discovering the power of books and reading!

Together, we are building boys into men of dignity, respect, and honor and in turn, extend the same virtues and values to women, girls, and others in the community.

Stay tuned, and welcome to be part of our mission as we continue this incredible journey!
