Day 1 of 3: When your partner in crime really gets you. The relationship a soloist develops with a conductor is an important one, and can be very special. Grateful for (and Pinkerton, of course).

We’re out here with the doing more “Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton” shows. Thank you, Dallas, for making us feel so welcome!! 🙏❤️

RIP, Catherine O’Hara. 😢💔
I don’t really know what to say. I turned to practice to help hold the grief. The most I can manage today is to thank Catherine for the beautiful memories she gave me over the last 13 years and to pay tribute with the melody she sang (and Danny wrote) that will live forever in our hearts.

Please forgive this video of my feet as I play. I’m wearing these socks to honor my memory of her and I just can’t bear to show my face right now.

HELP!! 😰 Dear friends and followers,

I never imagined I would encounter this problem, but to my unfortunate discovery, my IG identity and content have been copied—or, rather, stolen and promoted as their own. (One of these accounts has even garnered over 4K followers.)

I hate to have to make these kinds of requests, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, report these accounts so they can be taken down. A couple of them seem to not have any followers, but they are still posing as me, which is still harmful.

I am grateful to all of you who follow in earnest and love to share my musical journey with you. I thank you in advance for helping me report these imposters. Our identities are our own, and they are precious. 🙏❤️

I am so happy and grateful to have been able to spend the weekend with .orchestra.phila and playing one of my favorite pieces of music: Bernstein’s “Serenade”. 🤩🎶🎻🥳

Loosely based on Plato’s “Symposium”, Bernstein’s “Serenade” is music full of wonder, beauty, warmth, humor, and puzzles. While most traditional violin concertos are admired for their melodic invention and heroism, this piece is like a kaleidoscopic view of the inner workings of Bernstein’s brain, full of literary allusion, rhythmic riddles, and ecstatic musings, to say the least. One of my favorite aspects of this piece is the fact that there are so many opportunities for intimate dialogue between musicians; the many solos within the orchestra make up for the most scintillating musical conversations within a large-scale work. And, of course, the glimmer, grandeur, and grandiosity of the colorful percussion section add to the musical party! 🎉

My immense thanks to the members of The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and Maestro David Hayes for having me back…I loved every moment!

🎥: The super fun ending to the entire piece!

📸 3: When one shares the same alma mater as the composer of one’s favorite music, a little school spirit is in order. Late-night decaf coffee to wind down after a weekend of highs…

I was incredibly fortunate to be back on stage with friends and colleagues for The Nightmare Before Christmas Live in Concert over a week ago in Monterrey, Mexico. This having been my first show since regaining my independence after the brain injury I suffered at the beginning of the year, it was so comforting to be surrounded by people who feel like family.

My gratitude to , , .worldwide, , and many others in the cast and crew. I also want to give a shout out to my little skeleton band, who performed with wonderful energy and enthusiasm.
