North is not a fixed point; it is internal heading which we must listen to and follow towards our personal freedom.
Follow Your North began as a simple idea that maybe everyone isn’t supposed to follow a specific path, that perhaps each individual has their own thoughts and passions which differ from each other. This idea has manifested into a passionate movement in which each member relishes in the fact that they are unique, weird, creative and can live the life they want to live, not the one they are told to
live. Too often from a young age we are taught to stay in line, that there is a single path for us and the only way we can be successful is to follow the rules, to play the game, which is rigged for normal boredom and ultimate stress. Go to college, start at the bottom and work your way up, get a house with the largest mortgage you can find, find the perfect one, marry someone, have children by a certain age, work hard and save on the hope that you can travel later on life when your children are grown up. Some might go climb Machu Picchu when they’re 60 but for the great majority they will likely be spending retirement nursing ailments from the front porch of a house hopefully they have paid off. Follow Your North believes that there is more than one way to live, that each person should follow what is most important to them and devote their energy into the passions that make them burn with excitement with fear with life. This movement is long overdue and is intended to help those conquer their fear of standing out among the crowd and to perhaps embrace that they want different things and that this is not just okay, this is right. North is not a fixed point it is internal heading which we must listen to and follow towards our personal freedom.
