Reminder that, every year, the Republican government of Florida purges the voting registrations in order to lower turnout among Democrats. The deadline to have your registration in order is October 5th, this Monday.

Even if you think you're registered, be sure to check at this link, so you can have it resolved in time to vote.

Regular reminder that Trump fired Geoffrey Berman, the attourney who was leading the posthumous investigations into Epstein, who had multiple victims who have named Trump as an accomplice. It's credible enough at this point for me to believe he's actively trying to cover something up here, as he'd be the only person connected with Epstein who could interfere with an FBI investigation.

Pictured: still from a video from a party which Trump threw for Epstein on one of his properties.

Police opened fire on a gay bar because the owner was handing out water to protestors 03/06/2020

Key facts that people need to be aware of with these protests...

Much, if not most of the violence, is being instigated by White Supremacists and Authoritarians, who are using the peaceful protests as cover. Destroying property in these communities has the dual effect of lowering living standards for the people in them, AND they can turn around and blame the protesters for "destroying their own property" in an attempt to depict them as lawless.

Some police forces are openly attacking journalists, business owners, medical workers, firefighters, and other people who aren't doing anything they aren't supposed to. They are actively destroying property, actively creating violence, actively trying to undermine the central idea of these protests: that Police should not be allowed to engage in violence with absolute impunity.

The president has been actively encouraging violence, actively threatening people, purposefully fueling the violence and unrest for his own gain, and recently had his own people attack a historic church with tear-gas so he could use it as a prop. He is openly and actively detrimental to the de-escalation process, and a major part of the problem.

There is an information war going on. Please be aware of these nuances, and please be aware that many people are NOT aware of them. This information needs to be made more available.

Article relevant because it mentions some of this stuff: bar attacked by neo-NAZIs using the protests as cover, then attacked by police while being used as a first-aid station.

Police opened fire on a gay bar because the owner was handing out water to protestors The police shouted, "The game is over!" before they opened fire without warning...

Reminder that this is not about the person who a single Minneapolis police officer decided to suffocate to death last week. It is not about any one person, or even one race or another, it is about a system and culture that doesn't simply believe that lethal force is acceptable to use on people on the mere suspicion of crimes such as casing houses while a white hoodie, stealing a single cigarillo from a store, selling single ci******es on street corners, poking their head into construction sites, attempting to make a purchase with a possibly forged bill worth no more than $20, or simply filming police officers during a protest, but that this thin, blue line, must be laid down and defended with bullets, batons, and fires set to buildings of the people the system was intended to protect.

$20 is an insanely small price to place on a human life, an insane thing to street-execute a human being over, regardless of race, and the insane system which draws a line in the sand and declares that acceptable with zero leeway or oversight needs to be taken down: none of us are safe, no matter how many drops of whatever race we have in our blood.

I refuse to "say his name", because he is not the reason, only the straw that broke the back, he is just one person among far too many to name who this system decided it was acceptable to kill on that particular day.

I am grateful to the police officers and public officials who have publicly condemned the ongoing violence, both before and in response to the protests. This is their oath that they are upholding. I am grateful to the protestors who have stopped the various white-supremacists, undercover police, and simply irresponsible anarchists, who have been setting fires to buildings and attempting to make what are by and large peaceful protests into violent riots, even though those who want peace have not always prevailed. I am grateful to the politicians on both sides who have called for sanity, unity, and justice, and have condemned the rhetoric of the President and his ideology which pushes for more violence instead of solutions.

I am ashamed of the officers who have shot journalists and gone under cover to attack local businesses in the communities they literally swore an oath to protect. I am ashamed of the politicians on both sides of the aisle who have refused for so long to take the pleas of the country seriously and actually take action. I am ashamed of the people who have followed the ideologies of violence, which tell them to divide and attack other people for reasons they have so little control over, simply because they need a scapegoat for something.

This is not about any single person, it is about everyone. Regardless of what happens, regardless of who starts violence and destruction, regardless of who refuses to see reason, we need to keep our eyes on the core of it. This is about a need for peace, justice, and safety in our communities.

I'd like to take a moment here to talk about the heroism we've seen from journalists in these protests. They are literally being shot, beaten, arrested and had their equipment destroyed by police, images that we normally expect to see in a police state. It's horrifying that, not only are police ignoring the issue, that lethal force is never justified for people merely suspected non-violent offenses, regardless of race, gender, etc. but that they are so adamant about their demands for zero-oversight and legal-impunity, that they are actively attacking the people who are supposed to record them. The lethal levels of force the police are using to silence journalists has left several permanently maimed, and it's only a matter of time before it kills one of them.

Whenever you see a video of the protests, be it interviews, police lines, white supremacists setting buildings on fire, whatever, think of the people who took them. Remember that they are going into a literal war-zone, that they are walking for hours through the elements and the chaos, that they are literally risking their lives to get that information to you.

Just watched the Artemis Fowl trailer... I have never been so sickened and enraged by the idea of a movie in my entire life.

I guess if they can't get a subversive book banned, they just buy the IP and use it to make something completely different in an attempt to erase it from existence?

This is a crime against Human Culture itself, and spits in the face of every artist who ever lived. I hope, for the sake of the very future of humanity, that it doesn't even break even, and that we get an administration who will break up Disney for buying literally half of the movie industry and is now trying to whitewash our very culture.

I am also very sad that we will likely NEVER see an actual movie based off of Artemis Fowl, because it is a VERY good book...

So, anyone else finding it kind of sad that both the Democrat and Republican senate leaders are like, "Trump could fix this at any time if he knew how to make deals or lead."?

Well, yes, snowflakes, that's what happens when you give someone who has never even had a job, and has no real experience in anything an executive position. Now go on, sort it out, stop relying on him to get his job done.

Calling all Washington secretaries, pages, mistresses, and escorts: it's time to hit these fu***rs where it really hurts! If Congress and the Senate shut down the government, I call for a s*x strike! If the representatives won't pay out, you don't put out! Not so much as an unzipped fly or an unbuttoned boob-cover!

Let's see how long these legislators last once their Vi**ra prescription isn't worth filling!

Watching the anchors on CNN losing their minds right now because apparently Trump called several nations with which we have positive relations "Sh****le Countries", and they're not sure how to repeat something like that on the air. He's better at creating controversy than me: I'd better step up my game! XD
