An excellent afternoon was had seeing so many old friends! Many thanks to all who came along, meeting all the new kids was great!!

Lockdown and social distancing are looking more and more likely to be lifted soon, so I was thinking, how about a get together sometime in September. Was thinking a Sunday afternoon/early evening,venue to be arranged but would be kid friendly it seems we have some new additions to the extended family!!

So are there any dates that are a definite no no, let me know I will keep you all posted on my own page as this is a public site!! Will also post in our group page!!

We can’t believe it! We’ve made it through to the Great British Pub Awards final 6 in the greene king pub hero category. The categories this year have changed due to the pandemic and we’ve made it through to the finalists list by all the hard work we did over the lockdown doing takeaways and deliveries as well as our community spirit doing the morning dances. It’s last orders as long-serving landlords of Newmarket’s Prince of Wales pub call it a day

WOWSER!!! what a day very emotional and touching! Too many people to thank individually, so thank you all!!

newmarketjournal.co.uk Popular landlords Hamish Turner and Maria O’Neill have pulled their last pints at the Prince of Wales pub in All Saints Road, Newmarket, after calling time on a tenancy lasting 18 years.

Seems there is a sign outside saying open 6-30pm. ..

I have been asked to post a quick message from Brendan & Nikki, the new Tenants at The Prince of Wales. The pub will be re-opening at 5:30pm on Tuesday 13 June. They have had a lot of sorting, cleaning, re-arranging and re-stocking to do and apologise for any inconvenience caused. The new page for The Prince Of Wales will also be live tomorrow.

Scotland v England tomorrow and as the prince is still closed I will be going to the welly to watch and have a few sherberts! See you soon. ..

Well I said i would do a sober post and here we go. After eighteen years, to the day! It is time to move on. We take with us a lifetime of stories, births, deaths marriages and everything else that has gone on in your lives!
I may one day sit down and write a book but would change names to protect the guiltyas there has been so many great and thankfully only a few bad memories! We are sat here waiting on the new people to change contracts and it is a really wierd feeling. I still remember when we moved in, the excitement the wondering and the fear, was it going to work, I think, with all your help we did make it work, and some!!! Anyway got to go now you all have our numbers so please stay in touch as we will try to keep up with everyone. So much to do so much caatching up to doand we now have the time to do it!

Okay, where do I start? What a day/night, so many people kids and their life's all wrapped round this little bit of property! Doesn't do it justice but you get what I mean. So ,any people to thank but can't name you all but some need thanking, Amanda macnamara for organising our pressies every one who turned up, and last and by no means least, my rock, Pumpkin pie! I will pen a proper goodbye soon so watch this space! Love you all, peace and love!
