Hey friends, just wanted to give a little update on life since things have changed a lot around here recently.

I’m sure many of you have been following my journey as a potter these past few years and have watched & helped my business grow (thank you!). Maybe you saw that I lost two babies to miscarriage in the last two years and celebrated with me when I became pregnant and gave birth to our rainbow, Olive. Maybe you were even around in my single days before I met my husband, Matt.

I’ve wrestled with opening shop again but I know it is not for today. Maybe I’ll be ready next month or next year. These days, I spend most of my time thinking “when did Olive last eat?” and “what time did she wake up from her last nap?” and “do the chickens need more food?” or “what is Clay getting into now?” Exciting stuff! 😉 but I wouldn’t want anything else.

We will celebrate for sure when the shop reopens but for now, I hope you’ll stick around as I share small snippets of our lives (including our new farmhouse style Airbnb that will be ready for rental soon!)

Introducing Olive Rose, born 2/1 at 1:58 pm at exactly 41 weeks. She weighs 6lbs. 3 oz. & is 19 1/4” long. We are smitten with her & praising God for this perfect gift ❤️

Hi friends! There are some new faces around here so I wanted to share a little about me & give a business update because I keep being asked when I will reopen.

I'm Natalie and I've been making pottery for 10 years now, selling for 8! I always dreamt of having my own creative business and working with clay is a dream come true. This past spring, after going through 2 miscarriages, my husband & I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant again and I feel so blessed that I'm miraculously still carrying this babe and we will hopefully get to meet in about two months! I'm taking time away from the studio now to prepare my heart & our home for a little one and I don't have a set date when I will reopen because I want to take advantage of this sacred time I have with my first living babe, getting to know him or her (we're not finding out) and getting into a rhythm before I add all the responsibility of running a business back in. Maybe not the "smartest" thing to do business-wise, but I think being a parent is one of the greatest responsibilities I'll ever have and I'm blessed to be able to take time off because I know not every family can do that. But I do plan to reopen and show my kid(s) that they can do whatever they want, even if it's not a traditional, college degree job.
