I just wanted to share with y'all what I did with my current ones that I purchased a few weeks ago. I bought 60/613/16 - 24" (matched closest with my hair after my stylist lightened my hair)... My stylist Alexa Rae in Kingsland, GA & I decided a change was in order from all over purple to a purple to red melt. It turned out beautiful but let's be honest adding extensions would make it gorgeous... So off to ordering I went (thank you for the sale last month) I colored them to match my hair but decided to add pink into the mix so it's a purple to red to pink melt. Let’s talk truth about extensions and hair health.
Probably everyone that has worn extensions for a while, and is honest...at one time or another, wishes that they would tangle less or last longer and that their own hair would grow faster.
Believe it or not, there are a few things you can do to extend the life of the extensions and help your hair! ⬇️

1. Get the best quality hair extensions from a company you trust.

2. The best quality is not regular remy hair. The best quality is Virgin hair.

3. Go easy on heated tools and chlorinated water. Get a good filtering shower head.

4. Stop using regular shampoo and conditioners with silicones and other chemicals. It will shorten the life of your hair extensions. And 99.9% of ALL hair products have silicone and other damaging chemicals in them.

5. Detox the hair with Virgin Botanicals Trio and keep using it.

With or without a darker root color?
Often a darker root color can hide extension attachments better than no root color because darkness under the hair will recede into the shadows, while lighter colors will show less shadow and might flash through occasionally when the extensions are growing out. But...if the natural hair is light, or the client gets root touch ups often, then no root color is perfect!
The root color doesn’t have to be exactly your shade to blend because of the shadows created by the overlaying hair. Our colors 10 light ash brown and 7 medium ash brown are perfect for many that have blonde highlights / balayage in medium ash brown hair, who often were naturally blonde as a child and then naturally darkened as a teen.

L&B - Creating your hair extensions for 19 years and counting!

One of the secrets to an awesome hold when installing tape-in extensions is to make sure the tapes are pressed tightly and evenly together...and to use just the right amount of client hair between the tape sandwich.
Tape extensions get their hold by sticking to the opposite tape, not to the sandwiched hair.
The best way to evenly distribute the optimal pressure so the tape sticks to tape is with the Tape-In Extension Press!
A bonus is that you save your fingers too!😰
The Press has two silicone pads on the plier surface which protects the tape bonds, and presses out any air pockets easily and effectively for that super hold. This “seal” also keeps water totally out of the bonds! Especially great when using our Invisible Tape-In extensions, where the hair comes right out of the tape surface like a hair follicle, for a gentle but effective clamp that won’t hurt the “hair follicle”.

What is Virgin hair?
It is hair that has never been colored or chemically altered in any way until we color the hair to your L&B color specifications.
And, if that’s not enough...The cuticles are 100% intact!
When buying only remy hair, not all layers of cuticles are still intact, because some chemical stripping has taken place during production. While remy hair is better than non-remy...it’s still not as good as Virgin hair.
Only 100% virgin hair has all cuticle layers.
Virgin hair is very hard to come by in the huge bulk amounts that large companies need to produce their extensions. But we have been producing Virgin hair extensions for years... there are very few suppliers world-wide of true Virgin hair.
