New boot goosin’

A few weeks prior I had been officially diagnosed with a malignant tumor on the right ventricle of my heart.

I had been released from the hospital to await a biopsy for further information. This photo was taken on my way to my wedding…

At this exact moment, three things were crystal clear:
1. Cancer had come, violent and uninvited
2. I was giving my “broken” heart to the woman I love
3. She was ready to stand with me

I guess all I’m trying to say is:

Thank you Brittany. You are the most patient, capable, and understanding human being I’ve ever met. Truly, I don’t know where I would be, or what condition I would be in, if it wasn’t for your endless care and fierce dedication.

You are my person.
