Looking for a place to mount your fuel pressure gauge? Look no further. Stromberg has just finished these neat ‘fuel gauge banjos’ which allow you to check the fuel pressure right at the carb. They have all the benefits of our super-popular stainless steel single and double-end banjo fittings, but with an 1/8th NPT hole in the end of the bolt to accept your hot rod fuel pressure gauge.

Just to remind everyone, Stromberg banjo fittings use large diameter stainless steel material with a recess lip on each side to hide the gasket and move the bolt head closer to the banjo. The banjos are sized to fit both 5/16inch and 3/8inch hose, and plenty of fuel flow is guaranteed.

Knowing your fuel pressure is all the more important with Stromberg 97 carburetors, because you need to ensure 2.5 psi max. So if you already have Stromberg banjos (9082K or 9083K), and want to add a fuel pressure gauge to your line, you can buy just the replacement bolt. See them here:

Before…After...Before…After...Before…After...Before…After. The ‘ol FnAbone’s long, long journey. Here she is the day I picked her up and how she sits today. (Before = late 90s). The fine gentleman I bought her from had it set up for SBC. Well, that’s not going to do. I needed a home for a very fine ‘47 Flathead plus a ‘39 Ford transmission and the FnAbone fit the bill. (1929 Ford Model A Tudor). She sits a bit lower now thanks to a 5” drop i-beam axle and different springs for the ‘69 9-inch. The journey continues, this past summer the early ‘80s MGB seats got rebuilt and new upholstery added. Up next, maybe a back seat.

New Stromberg linkages – 6×2 & 4×2

If you want quality linkages (ie. with rod ends), multi-carb linkages are a real challenge as almost every intake differs in carburetor spacing, width and the offset between the two banks. How do we cover all those bases? With tailored solutions for those intakes still available new, like the Offy Pacesetters and the Edelbrock X1 ram, plus Trim-to-Fit options, which cover pretty much everything else out there. Unlike many a linkage, ours come pre-assembled with full instructions – including ‘Trimming to Fit’. Each kit comes in a cool zinc/stainless finish.

So here’s the deal: The direct (non-progressive) linkages are supplied as complete kits with our Snapback return springs. And the 6×2 progressive kits are modular, so you simply purchase two 3×2 progressive kits from our current range to suit your carb intake spacing, then add the new Back-bar Kit to link both carburetor banks together.

At the heart of the new systems is our unique low-line Back-Bar brackets that won’t over-whelm your shiny new 97s. Precision rolled in stainless steel and reamed for the Oilite self-lubricating bushings, they support the Back-bar shaft at BOTH ENDS for zero flex and positive operation. You simply cannot say that if your Back-bar is supported at one end only. Check them out here:
