Thor Lookalike Who Became Superfit Despite Cystic Fibrosis Can Now Laugh for First Time After Life-changing Drug–LOOK Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as a baby, Ben Mudge says a new medication, Kaftrio, has helped him laugh and breathe normally for first time.

Dear WHAM CF friends and supporters,
First of all we want to thank all of the people who have already signed up for the WHAM CF 11th Annual Golf Tournament. The field is more than ½ filled and we have raised over $17,000. Spaces are filling up quickly and we might completely sell out, a first for our tournament! So don’t delay, sign up today. We won’t be able to accept walk in registrations if we have a full field, so register your team now. Here is the registration link

Just as a reminder, the tournament will be on November 14th, 2021 at 11:00 AM (with check in starting at 9:30). This year we are returning bigger and better than ever, collaborating with two other families that have loved ones with CF. New in 2021, we will have two competitive flights (Middle tees/Forward tees) with winners from each flight, this way both novice and experienced players can enjoy the tournament. Please join us for a fun and relaxing day which will include a box lunch, snacks, drinks, Dirty Birds wings, skills based games on the course, and drumroll please…. a Hole in One prize that will be worth a minimum of $25,000!

The most important part though is knowing that your donations make a difference in the lives of people with CF. Just after the tournament in 2019 Hazel and Alexander started taking a new medication called Trikafta. It has kept both of them out of the hospital for the past two years and decreased the amount of other medications that they take on a daily basis. This is a HUGE WIN in the fight against CF! Unfortunately, Trikafta doesn’t cure CF, nor does it work for all people with CF. So we continue to raise money to build on the successful medications that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has already developed and new drugs that are currently being researched.
