I hope everyone had a great winter and spring so far! I have some big changes coming up for this summer I'd love to share with you. I have bought a different business and I'll be changing my focus from cupcakes and honey to......fish! If you came to see me at the Kingsley market last summer I'm sure you noticed the red and white striped tent of Ken's Fresh Fish 'N Tales. That will be me this coming market season! I'll be bringing fresh, smoked, and frozen fish from the Mackinaw Straights area to market, as well as smoked fish paté, fish patties, and some new and exciting other fishy items. Ken will be working closely with me to ensure a smooth transition.
As far as the cupcakes go..... I have not decided yet if I will have time to bring them to market this summer or not. I will still take cupcake orders for special events as I am able to fit into my schedule. The honey will still be available! I will have three hives this year so I will have lots of honey for sale once the honey flows start.

It's been a while! I hope everyone is enjoying their winter. I wanted to let you all know that I will be in Lake City tomorrow (10-5) at the American Legion for the Winterfest vendor show. I'll have cupcakes and honey! I hope to see you there. 😊

Market went well today! That being said, I baked a few too many cupcakes for this one. I have vanilla, chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, and pumpkin maple available for sale. 1=$3 or 4=$10. Boyne Harvest Festival today. There are over 100 vendors here! Come check out the activities. Free face painting, axe throwing, and fun activities all over town. We will be here until 3 today!

This is Austin's Fire cupcake. It is so named because my son, Austin, is the creator if this flavor combination! A few years back we had a lot of struggles with Austin medically and we spent the majority of 2 years in the hospital. They were wonderful with him and always tried to keep him busy. One event they had the kids do was to come up with a unique cupcake. Austin's Fire cupcake was one of three chosen to be created by a professional bakery in the area. After we were out of the hospital and life stabilized for us again, I asked the bakery if I could have the recipe. They graciously gave it to me! This cupcake has a lot of emotions tied to it for me so it has taken me some time to actually make it myself. It is delicious! Sweet with just the right amount of heat. I am excited to share it with you and I hope you enjoy it!

Well, I have some bad news...and good news!

First the bad. I pulled a mom mistake today and got distracted while making my mini peach crisps. I forgot the flour!!!! 😣 So I made mini peach soups instead. Therefore I will not have those available at the market today.

On to the good! We extracted honey last night and the bees have been very generous this summer! This is the third time we pulled honey and we filled 5 pails of honey this time. I will have lots of honey for sale at the market today! If you are unable to go to Kingsley today and would like honey, please send me a message. See you all very soon!

I do not claim to be a gluten free kitchen, I just need to say that up front. However, in preparation for tomorrow's Kingsley Market, I did bake some cupcakes made with gluten free ingredients! My friends that are on gluten free diets have told me that these vanilla cupcakes taste amazing and they could not believe they were actually made with gluten free ingredients. I hope to see you at the market tomorrow! I'll have peanut butter with chocolate frosting, chocolate, vanilla, a few Earl grey with lavender frosting, and these GF vanilla cupcakes! I'm also bringing some mini peach cobblers!!! 😋 And of course, HONEY!

Kid's week at the Kingsley Market today! We will be here from 3-7 with yard games, open mic, dried pasta, fresh veggies, cheese, meat, fish, baked goods, lavender, and much more!

Manton Market today 3-7. We have a few vendors today with fresh veggies, baked goods, 3D printed bookmarks and stuff, and custom shirts and cups. Come down and support your locals! Also, music from 6-8. There is a heavy metal band coming today!

The rain is holding off and there are many vendors set up. There is kombucha, jewelry, meat, cheese, maple syrup, teas, jams, and lots of baked goods! We are here until 7 today!
