Hello, my new book is LEAVE THE LAMP ON (ISBN: 978-1649130501) which is the tale of my own grandparents. Dear old Grandpa abandoned the family to join the Army during World War I. It is set in Texas and Europe and tells the story of how cowardice can evolve into courage and how actions impact families for generations. Yet, it is not a beat down but rather a tale of humor and perseverance. I would appreciate your consideration. *** It can be ordered from Rosedog Books to insure your industry discount and is fully refundable.

Discover Noam.. Now available in Spanish
Hello there,
In August, at the age of 77, I published my first novel (think Grandma Moses). As you can imagine, I self-published it and didn’t realize I’d have to do most of the marketing myself. This letter is part of my marketing campaign. I came across a listing of most of the independent bookstores in the country and, since I’m retired and have the time, I decided to contact each one, tell you a little about the book and ask you to give it a try. The book is available at Ingram Books. If you’re interested read on, if not thanks for your time.
Me and Jinx
Johnny Fry’s favorite times growing up were when his Uncle Bill would visit, and with Johnny’s pa, they would sit round the stove at night and talk of adventures they had in their youth as riders for the Pony Express. When his pa dies in the Spring of 1884, eighteen-year-old Johnny sets out to ride the Pony Express Trail to Sacramento, nineteen hundred miles away. With his ‘little buddy’, Jinx, a little black cat, he leaves his Kansas hometown and rides into a reality much different from the dreams of his childhood. It’s a reality of sweeping grasslands, towering mountains, simmering deserts, and raging rivers; of drunks, thieves, and murderers; of friends and enemies and someone to fall in love with. The West of 1884 is still the wild and beautiful place of legend. Billy the Kid and Jesse James are not long in their graves, Wyatt and Virgil Earp are alive and living in California, and the great cattle drives are still fresh in the memories of many. Surrounded by the beauty and perils of the Old West, Johnny must become a man or die trying.

Won't this be fun?!

I have exciting news… something you might have heard as rumour, but that I can now confirm.

Three Pines is becoming at TV series! It has started filming here in Quebec and will be broadcast on Amazon (not sure when). The amazing UK production company Left Bank has bought the rights (after many years of negotiations). Their track record for quality productions is second to none, having done The Crown. Wallander. Outlander. And many others.

Now the news you might be waiting for…. who will play Gamache? The answer is this man.

Alfred Molina (Photograph credit: Laurent Guérin / Amazon). An extraordinary actor. With him as Gamache and Left Bank in charge, and shooting near where the books are set, we have every reason to believe it will be wonderful.
