It’s been a long time since I’ve posted. Lots of large life changes over the past year and a half. I’m thankful for my family, new community of friends and creative time for making. Creative time has always been therapeutic.

What to do in weather and power outages? I feel the need to in It’s crazy seeing in I’m my blues through my beading! What are you doing today? Is your on?

While working on these earrings the name ‘Deep to Deep’ came to mind. The blue colors reminded me of the ocean. The “V” shapes in the design are a representation of going from victory to victory. The past month and a half were a bit of a roller coaster ride that involved a health crisis for my husband. After 4 trips to ER, 3 calls for 911 that resulted in hospitalization, I can say it’s well with my soul. Finding time to create helped me to bask in peace filled moments. I have much I’m thankful for and the first is my husband is ALIVE! I recently crafted this wearable art piece called NEW LIFE. Working on this gave me joy, strength for mind, body and soul.

I named this piece of wearable art “New Life.” Just like the rain that gives a new lease of life to a dying plant, a smile and kind words can help someone who is about to give up. I used malachite, a stone of balance and abundance and known as a protection stone. I wrapped the malachite stone with copper wire and added accents of a hand hammered copper clasp. As I craft a piece of wearable art, the name gives the wearer the strength of the inspiration. These are stones of remembrance with art & soul! I named this piece “Seed, Time, and Harvest.” It was a gift for a friend whose acts of kindness in helping others are like seeds in the lives of many people. I used amethyst, labradorite and Swarovski crystals as a representation of seeds sown. The brilliance of the crystals shine like a beautiful harvest. The stainless steel chain made me think of the strength of friendships and family that are the blessed beneficiaries of seeds they have sown. Amethyst is a stone that relieves stress and strain; it also enhances intuition and concentration. Labradorite is a useful companion through change, also gives strength and perseverance.

Somehow I got lost with a flurry of life happenings. December was a spectrum of emotions from a death in the family. A week later - the holidays & I admit I didn’t feel festive. Family came & went & my 85 year old dad was hospitalized, now doing much better. Through it all I have a grateful heart, because love of my family and friends held me up. This labradorite beauty brought me joy as I worked the wire thinking about the waters I navigated. It’s a new day. A new year ready to unfold & a new decade of possibilities. Feeling thankful. How’s your New Year going?

I designed this piece of wearable art for a guy friend who is always helping people. I named it “RIPPLE EFFECT” because a ripple is sort of a miracle. A stone so small thrown into a calm pond & the ripples go out 360 degrees. A ripple is a piece of positivity that starts and then others carry it with them to share, thus creating a ripple effect. I used moss agate a stone of new beginnings & cape amethyst, a gemstone with healing properties to enhance the intuition and concentration. I’m so happy he loved his necklace and someone commented it looks manly - happy day mission accomplished!

It’s an earring kinda day. I’m on a bead embroidered kick. I started making jewelry over 15 years ago and began with . These are a fun reminder of times shared with my girlfriend in her bead studio. The colors of these little gems are like sipping a glass of Cabernet ~ smooth with a touch of bling!

I chose the name “Rivière de Charlene,” because of the meaning. Rivière means river in French. My wearable art designs are a creative flow inspired by nature, memories of family & friends and places I’ve traveled. All are rivers of remembrance combined with good vibes and positive energy.
