The universe is smacking me around today. The last couple days have been challenging and I’ve struggled to keep my focus on being grateful. But, I am. Extremely grateful. For so many things. Including that lil Miss Emma is doing ok….confirmed after an ER visit last night with some meds and a little less sleep than I need but grateful nonetheless.

Keep your perspective. Stay grateful. Trust the journey. It won’t always be easy. Some days it will downright freaking suck the life outta you. But you’re right where you’re supposed to be. Stay true to yourself and trust that the universe always has your back.

In September I injured my shoulder. I still have no idea how it happened. But when I tell you that it’s been a journey…. 😮‍💨….understatement of the year. Not just physically but emotionally. Not being able to do the workouts I want to do and to stay motivated to even do anything has been a struggle.

But.

Today….today I graduated from physical therapy! I have exercises to do at home and I got a free tshirt! Plus my latte….which I always get 🤭 but it’s hitting different today.

Stay focused. Keep your chin up. You’re a badass bitch and no one can take that away from you!😘

What a great weekend! Impromptu overnight stay in NYC on our way to The Conjuring House! Check out the room key…😳 the room didn’t even have a thermostat - we had to open a window!

While I was getting ready to leave the next morning I smelled what I thought was lotion and “heard” a voice say “See ya soon!”. Apparently it was the candle shown in the last pic that I smelled, and Victoria (whoever that is) had visited me in NYC that morning to share it with me.

Had a few things happen while we were in the house on top of the candle smell - it was so much fun! If you want a “live” tour of the place go check out my friend stories - we FaceTimed and I showed her around since she couldn’t make it.

I love that I’m starting to become more in tune with my Clair-senses!

My birthday week has been great so far! Stepped out of my comfort zone and went to a painting class…didn’t turn out too bad for my first try!

Received an awesome gift at work that will now be used as a positivity jar!

Had super yummy birthday dinner with my amazing peeps!

A girl could get used to this. Thanks to everyone who has wished me a happy birthday….remember…it’s the whole month. 😝🤭

I’ve always said I wasn’t a morning workout kinda person. Last year I started getting up early and working out at home. Still never considered myself a morning workout person.

This morning I got my butt out of bed, in the car and made it to the gym….and had my rear end properly handed to me at .

Not sure how long I’ll be awake at my desk but I did it and I didn’t die so there’s that!

Show up for yourself and go do the damn things!

My current view and happy place.

I never used to enjoy spending time alone but lately it’s becoming more and more enjoyable.

I used to think I had to constantly be doing something. Anything.

What I’ve figured out is that was all to keep my mind off the things I didn’t want to think about, to heal.

Well, I’m done.

I started 75 Hard 20 days ago. On day 21, today, I decided that I’ve finished the program. At least for now, for this time.

I have been completing everything, as outlined, no “cheats”. And each day I felt more and more like I was just going through the motions. Like I wasn’t fully completing any task (in life or the program) but I was half assing lots of tasks.

So for now, I’ve made the conscious decision to stop the program. Not because it was hard (it was!) or because I slipped up. But because I know that prioritizing myself is the main reason I started and that’s exactly what I need to do right now.

Maybe I’ll finish all 75 days in the future. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t fully enjoying laying on my couch today, drinking a vodka soda and not worrying about my second workout of the day. I showed up for myself today and that’s what I needed.

My point is….there’s no right answer or perfect way to do something. Figure out what works for you and get that s**t done.

Pretty much the only moment I rethink certain decisions in my life.

Also, the time I get up to make sure I have time to get in my first workout of the day.

Two years ago I came up with every reason…excuse…not to do this program. This year I’m realizing it’s likely one of the best…and maybe one of the only…ways I will be forced to prioritize myself.

To complete it, I MUST put myself first and plan the rest of my life around it. Obviously there are other things being prioritized…like work…but anything beyond that has to be carefully calculated.

75 days
Just shy of 11 weeks
What I expect to be a lot of lifetime lessons.

Will I rethink my life choices all 75 days at 4:10?

Very likely!

But I’ll also be able to celebrate that I did it…for me!! ABSOLUTELY!!

And that’s the best part!

Had to switch out pushups for dips because my shoulder has been ornery lately but finished in just over 24 minutes!

Really wish my vertigo and back would stop being lil bi***es about life though….ain’t nobody got time for this constant BS…just sayin…😤

Today kicked my ass.

Today I got Angry at the bar. At myself. I mean it was only 85 # but I couldn’t get it up.

I took off 5 pounds….FIVE!!
And I got it up.

And then as I was about to give up on hitting 85 # at all but someone in class (& I didn’t get their name 🫣), challenged me to put the 5 # back on.

It was NOT pretty…and I almost did the splits trying to stand up…but…I DID IT!

Thanks to everyone at for pushing me outside my comfort zone.

It was only slightly difficult to lift my arms after that complex and then the AMRAP to drive home and shower…🤦‍♀️😜

It’s been over 3 years since I stepped foot in a gym.

I was nervous and almost didn’t go.

But….I did it…and I didn’t die!

AND I did a 175 # deadlift! 💪🥳

My shoulder has been bothering me lately so I’ve been a little more slack with workouts. Riding my stationary bike and doing yoga mainly. I needed more today!

5 dips
10 abmat sit-ups
15 air squats

Super not mad that my rounds got quicker and quicker as I pushed to beat getting this done in less than 20 minutes!

It’s official - I am now a Reiki Master! ❤️🥳

In the last session I performed to gain this certification, I had a vision of someone walking around in jeans, a white shirt and pink shoes. They felt lost and kept asking “where am I?”.

At the end of the session I shared this with my client. She asked if the shoes could’ve been crocs. I said they definitely could’ve been, I just know they were pink.

She shared that she had just purchased her mother a pair of hot pink crocs and that she has Alzheimer’s.

I was speechless.

Ironically enough I shared this story with someone else the very next morning. She was feeling a little overwhelmed and lost. She made me repeat what the person was wearing….because I hadn’t noticed that as she stood there listening to my story…she herself was wearing jeans, a white shirt and crocs that had pink in them.

I’m so blessed and excited to continue growing this gift. 💖

I had 2 reiki sessions tonight. After the second one I was taking my phone and watch off do not disturb and I see this!

444 - The angel number 444 tells you that your connection with the angels and the angelic realm is powerful and that you can trust the guidance they are giving you.

I had so many things come up in both sessions and the second one had me singing Macklemore and System of a Down! 😂

I think my spirit guide, Steve has jokes some days because he’ll be sending me all sorts of random s**t! He’s pretty cool if I do say so myself….And he resembles Brad Pitt…so there’s that! 🤭

As I stood on the stage at my Toastmaster meeting, this message popped up on my phone. It wasn’t wrong. While I was still nervous and stumbled over my words, I did feel more confident than I had in the past! Baby steps.

I’ve learned a lot about myself over the past year. I still have a lot to learn and heal. Baby steps!

Down about 2.5 lbs in the last 2 weeks!

And before y’all jump up saying “but Heather you don’t need to lose weight!”.

First of all - thank you, you’re too sweet. 🤭

Second - I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been and just haven’t felt good which tells me it’s time to do something about it!

No more excuses. No more giving up. It’s time to show up for myself so I can begin to trust myself.

You deserve it too so go do epic s**t!
