Mt. SAC Aviation Department graduate Suzy Garrett (formerly Suzy Cortese) made history yesterday by being the captain of the first mother-daughter flight crew at Skywest Airlines. Suzy attended Mt. SAC from 1984-86. She was one of the first dozen female pilots hired at Skywest and has been flying there for over 30 years. Donna is a UCSB graduate and was taught to fly by her father Doug Garrett, who is also a Mt. SAC grad. Go Mounties! ✈️
