These days, many discard the yolk and eat only the egg white thinking they are doing something healthy for their bodies.
If you have been told by whosoever to forget about the egg yolk, tell them

Whole eggs pack a serious nutrition punch! -> They're rich in the antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin, that reduce your risk of eye diseases like cataracts.
-> Rich in proteins and great if you want to increase muscle mass and better bone health.
-> They'll keep you fuller longer and help you lose weight.
-> The yolk accounts for more than 90% of the calcium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, thiamine, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B12, and pantothenic acid of the egg. -> Moreover, the yolk contains all of the fat-soluble vitamins: A, D, E, and K in the egg, as well as all of the essential fatty acids.

So you see, discarding the yolk is not a good idea.

SO WHAT'S WITH EGG YOLK AND CHOLESTEROL?

Ok., I get it, egg yolks carry the cholesterol (186mg per medium egg), the fat and saturated fat of the egg. But then, studies have shown that cholesterol is a structural molecule that is essential to every cell membrane.
Yet, it has been demonized mainly because some studies have linked high levels of cholesterol with heart disease and early death.
But... Your body has a way of regulating its cholesterol level. The more cholesterol-rich foods you eat, the less your liver produces to make sure you don't have too much of it.

Note: If you already have a cholesterol problem, you may want to avoid eating excessive amounts of cholesterol-rich foods as these may cause a moderate increase in cholesterol levels.

You would be shocked to know those egg yolks have a positive effect on cholesterol as it raises good 'HDL' cholesterol.

HOW MANY EGGS CAN YOU EAT?

Studies suggest that you can eat up to 3 eggs daily! Isn't that EGG-cellent? So do tell, do you prefer whole eggs or whites only and why? .

When consuming energy in a state of caloric deficit for fat loss, one can definitely increase the volume of food consumed. -

There may be confusion over the popular dieting adage of, “I’m losing weight, but I’m eating more that ever before” regarding the false belief that consuming more calories will somehow elicit fat loss. -

This notion is of course scientifically impossible. In scientific terms, an individual must be in a state of caloric deficit for weight loss to occur in the first instance. But by ‘eating more than they ever have before’ they have simply increased the volume of lower calorie foods across their overall dietary intake.
As a caloric deficit is the only way fat loss can occur, reducing caloric intake may be difficult for an individual seeking fat loss. Not least because there is a change in dietary habit and habitual satiety after feeding episodes. Therefore, it makes perfect sense to consume a relatively high volume of food in order to remain satiated and reduce risk of excessive calorie consumption.

This can be delivered to an individual via consumption of lower calorie foods which can be eaten in relatively high volume. Most fruits and vegetables exists as prime candidates to champion such strategic ex*****on of a sustainable calorie deficit. Increase in movement should also be considered.

Calorie dense foods (including those with or without nutritional value) should be included as part of a moderated calorie deficit if enjoyed. But there should be realisation that excessive consumption will likely counter-attack the overall balance of energy over time.

There is no magical metabolic inferno which enables an individual to consume a greater volume of calories than before and lose fat. Instead, a greater volume of food may well be consumed, but such food will contain fewer overall calories

Shopping was so tough before. Stores didn’t have 7XL and 62 Waist size pants readily available. My stomach went out so much I needed a long enough shirt that would cover my stomach.

Walmart and other stores always had supper short shirts and my stomach would always hang out.
-
I just want to shop in peace and find something without having to Indiana Jones my outfits. It’s easier now and a big reason why I keep pushing.
