Made homemade cauliflower crust pizza last week that does not look good but it was delicious and nutritious! Spinach, garlic, and olives.

Article I contributed too...forgot all about, good advice.

Snowy night dinner in with broiled swordfish, brown rice and multi-veg salad with fig balsamic and olive oil. And a combo of non-alcoholic wine and regular cab/syrah blend.
Salad: 🥗 spinach, roasted red peppers, onions, carrots, grape tomatoes, olives, cucumbers & fresh herbs.

Another week of making quick meals while working and testing water dumbbells 💪 for contributing to an article. When cauliflower did not deliver it was a frozen bagel to the rescue for pizza. Roasted salmon with baby broccoli and sweet potato. Lentils & rice with whatever veggies were in fridge and salads daily. Tested the dumbbells before snow came, wow, amazing! And finally snow…thank goodness for plow guy, I only cleared cars and shoveled the swim spa area and walkway. 2 hours exercise 😊.

Saturday morning walk…winding down from a hectic week. ❤️ shoreline living year-round for activity and lifestyle. 🌊 🏃♀️

Planned on a long walk after a workout this morning, only a little more snow than expected. ❄️ ⛄️. Happy for treadmills and beach walks on screen.

This was so good! Convection roasted swordfish with broccoli, tomatoes, carrots, Kalamata olives, olive oil & herbs. Best part is the abundance of vitamins, minerals & phytochemicals with antioxidants, plus the delicious flavors blended together in a food processor.

One word this week “frozen”! With the exception of some warm food. 😊

It was not good running with the ice this morning but wow it was still a pretty nice sunrise!
The best part of the day 😊.

The best times are down times, those few minutes or an extra hour per day for yourself. For me it’s early morning 3:30 or so to work out while listening to BBC & NPR news after a smoothie and meditation before the day starts. And finding a moment to turn the lights down after a week of 19-20 hour days; thank goodness for some quick leftovers when there’s no time to cook. And catching up in my home office with no disruptions on things I want to do for a change in business.

Last of the holiday season with friends, food and fun! 🤩

Happy New Year 2025!
A slow foggy morning run🏃♀️. Nice to see others out at sunrise walking and running, though no real sun after rain it was at least warm at 48 degrees.

Rainy & lazy morning yoga 🧘♀️ & slow run 🏃♀️. Something is better than nothing. 😊

❤️ Warm winter meals with fresh veggies, salads, seafood & a lot of spices and herbs. Winter squash mashed with nutmeg, ginger & cinnamon to salads with roasted red peppers, cranberries, spinach, cucumbers, mixed colored tomatoes, olives, and walnuts topped with olive oil and cherry balsamic. And fig spread on cheese with cranberry nut bread…some favorites. 😊
Wishing you a happy holiday season!
Our Story
As a registered dietitian nutritionist, board certified specialist in sports dietetics, and a certified medical exercise specialist, I maintain a private practice in Waterford, Connecticut where I specialize in nutrition for musicians, sports nutrition, weight management, corporate travelers and lifestyle behavior change for wellness. I have worked on both the collegiate level, as well as developing individual exercise and nutrition programs for a variety of clientele including professional athletes. I have consulted in fitness centers, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers throughout New England to develop specific nutrition programs for all ages, and I have written and provided lectures relating to sports nutrition, and nutrition related disease and prevention. I wrote and hosted a local health and fitness television series for Comcast Cable, and have been featured on Public Broadcasting System health programs, and have been consulted as a source for several articles on topics of health and nutrition.
I have learned how activity impacts the nutritional needs of the body by cycling long distances, running road races, rock climbing, kayaking, sailing, and snowshoeing. I continue to kayak, weight train, and run regularly. And I am also excited to be working with a specialty niche in my practice, Nutrition for Musicians. Musicians and singers, like athletes, have special nutrition needs related to their activity levels, schedules and increased energy requirements. Having a background in arts, media, and music prior to becoming a registered dietitian and sports nutritionist, I understand the demands of musicians, their schedules, and the impact it can have on one’s energy level. It is my goal to help musicians obtain their optimal energy level of performance through nutrition.
