Keeping kids engaged during school breaks supports their holistic development and can help make transitions back to school smoother. We've put together some fun fall activity ideas to keep kids engaged during breaks:

It's been awhile, allow us to reintroduce ourselves! We’re Intention Forward Education Foundation, a nonprofit born from the vision of Greater Kansas City community members who wanted to create spaces filled with belonging, fun, and friendship for kids with special needs.
In 2023, that dream became a reality with our first program - Intentional Time Summer Camp! This inaugural summer was an absolute joy, filled with smiles, growth, and lifelong memories for all involved. Swipe through to see some of our favorite camp moments.

🎃✨ Let’s make Halloween a more inclusive celebration for all kids, especially those with special needs! Some of us have kiddos that want to celebrate, but might not be prepared for the extra interaction and may need some additional guidance on what to expect.
Also, remember that not all children celebrate Halloween, so offering a variety of fall activities and crafts is a great way to include everyone. Here's a few ideas to get you started:
* Decorating candied apples
* Leaf painting
* Fall collage using colored tissue paper
* Oreo pudding cups with gummy worms

Do you have a sensory-sensitive little one? Consider making a fragrance free version of play-doh at home! Here's a simple recipe: Mix together 2 cups cornstarch and 1 cup non-scented hair conditioner or lotion. Add food coloring for an optional twist!
