Well that was the least facially accurate eulogy post I could’ve made🤦
I actually first heard Gangsta Boo in 2009 when I bought the 12” single of “Can I Get Paid”/Hard Not 2 Kill”, and that Sinjin Hawke track came out a little under 10 years ago, not “over a decade”. Anyway, I’m super bummed about it. RIP legend…

Absolutely shattered by this news. Lola was one of my all time favorite rappers and was on my dream list of vocalists to work with someday, ever since the moment I heard her collaboration with Sinjin Hawke over a decade ago, which I still listen to and play in my sets frequently. She always seemed like a genuinely good person and a kind soul who was simultaneously one of the toughest, most resilient artists in the game. Infinitely too soon.
