The Grand Finale of the Na We We Buea Urban Sports Tournament on 25 August 2024 brought together the youth of Buea and environs in a celebration of talent, unity, and community.

Our avowed aim was to promote social cohesion, inspire political engagement, and showcase local sports - particularly football - talent.

As part of the closing ceremony, special cash awards were given not only to recognize the players and fan clubs but also to assist recipients in preparing their children for the new school year.

Back-to-school kits, including school bags, books, and pens, were distributed to further support families.

Key awards included:

⚽️ CHAMPIONS: Buea Taxi Drivers FC - 1,000,000 FCFA (750,000 FCFA from the promoter and 250,000 from MTN Cameroon) + trophy 🏆 and gold medals 🥇

⚽️ RUNNER-UP: Longstreet FC - 500,000 FCFA (350,000 FCFA from promoter and 150,000FCFA from MTN CAMEROUN) + silver medals 🥈

⚽️ BEST FAN CLUBS: Tole & Muea - 100,000 FCFA each (from the promoter and NASLA)

⚽️ MAN OF THE MATCH: Neba Danvadis (Buea Taxi Drivers FC) - 50,000 FCFA (from Biaka University Institute of Buea - BUIB)

As we embark on a new school year, we reaffirm our commitment to the right of every child to education. Wishing all teachers and students a safe and successful return to school.

Last month, I was invited to take part in the official launch of the Hope Advocates Africa Repro-Just Boot Camp for Adolescents. This boot camp provides a platform for our youth to access information on sexual and reproductive health, human rights, civic education, and other life skills relevant to their growth and empowerment. During the launch, I encouraged participants to pay close attention to the teachings, as the knowledge gained during the sessions will help them make informed decisions and potentially become great leaders and change-makers in their communities.

In the spirit of “NA WE WE” and within the framework of the Grand Keep BUEA Clean Campaign, Honorable Malomba ESEMBE, Member of Parliament for BUEA Urban constituency joined the Senior Divisional Officer Fako in a clean up exercise with primary objectives to ensure the overall cleanliness of BUEA from a colllective and communal point of view .

This exercise began at the Molyko Stadium Esplanade , Bonduma, Great Soppo, BUEA Town and Muea.

The Grand clean-up campaign provided the MP the opportunity to commune and reconnect with his people who could not hide their joy seeing him in their different communities.

The MP for BUEA Urban Honorable Malomba reiterates his unwavering commitment to the good people of BUEA and its environs and will always stand for the best interest of his people.

NA WE WE

Congratulations to the Buea City Drivers Social Club for being the champion of the 2024 Na we we Buea Urban Tournament.

The drivers came from Behind to clinch a 3 #2 win over Longstreet at the final.

The drivers were happy to receive in total one million FCFA from the donor and partners.

I am deeply honoured by this recognition from Israel au Cameroun, following a profile of me by Cameroon Tribune in its edition of today 6 August 2024. It is a humbling privilege to be acknowledged for the "na we we" (collective effort) football tournament, an initiative close to my heart aimed at fostering social cohesion and youth political engagement in Buea.

As a proud alumnus of MASHAV, (Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation), I remain grateful for the opportunities it has provided to learn and grow. The knowledge, experience and gained have been instrumental in my efforts to serve my community and nation.
Thank you for this esteem. It is another testament to the enduring friendship and collaboration between our countries, and I am excited to continue working together towards shared goals and mutual prosperity.

Israel au Cameroun est fière de voir à la une du principal média camerounais, le stagiaire MASHAV Mr. Malomba Esembe, membre du Parlement.
Sa bravoure et sa détermination fondent l’initiative qu’il met en œuvre pour réunir les jeunes de la Région du Sud-Ouest autour d’un projet de paix et de cohésion sociale.

Le tournoi de football ‘‘Na We We’’ réuni 16 équipes de sa circonscription autour des valeurs de paix, d’éducation aux droits civiques, de responsabilités, et de l’importance de participer au processus démocratique.

Les récompenses remises aux participants contribueront à l’autonomisation financière des jeunes.

The ongoing sports tournament in is a sequel to the many activities we’ve carried out, aimed at creating a space where these values can be practiced and celebrated. It brings together people from different backgrounds, breaks down social barriers, and builds trust, allowing peace and development to thrive.

Le tournoi sportif en cours à est une suite aux nombreuses activités que nous avons menées, visant à créer un espace où ces valeurs peuvent être pratiquées et célébrées. Le tournoi rassemble des personnes d’horizons différents, brise les barrières sociales et instaure la confiance, permettant ainsi à la paix et au développement de prospérer.

Pleasant memories of my birthday, on 14 September 2021. My kid brother Peter Esembe whose birthday is the day before, accompanied me to commune with newborns, nursing mums and other patients as well as the staff of the maternity at the Mt. Mary Hospital , and also our children at the St. Maria Divine Foundation Orphanage, Mile 16/Street 7, Buea.

My sister and friend, Wamei Newah made all the arrangements, my brother and buddy, Pastor Bonam Obasse Lessly graciously led the prayers at each stop and my loving co-worker, Ma Enanga Georgiana Sanga as usual, did not let me walk alone.

I will never cease to give thanks for you my dear friends (Eph. 1:16). Thank you ever so much. God bless you.
