Making our clients' lives easier is what it's all about!
Can’t get enough of this gorgeous kitchen from the craftsman house move unpacking project.
To keep or not to keep? How do you decide which of your kids' precious art projects to frame and which to throw out? In this month's blog we discuss how to manage all of the communications and keepsakes that come your way throughout the school year and tips for how to store what you do keep including links to some of our favorite paper management and storage products.
Back-to-School Organizing: Tips for Managing Kids Keepsakes & Communications — Custom Order Home Organizing In this blog post we’ll talk about how to manage the papers and projects your kids bring home every day, how to deal with the emotional dilemma of letting go of your kids’ keepsakes, and we’ll share ideas and links to products to help you store what you do decide to keep.
Had a great time today talking back-to-school organizing with Brandy. We cover how to keep on top of take-home papers and emails as well as how to store cherished keepsakes. Thanks for having me Living Local!
Imagine buying a house in another state and having to move in DAYS before your baby is due. Oh and you already have three active kids ages 5 and under. Now imagine leaving all of the work to us and coming home with your newly expanded family to find every box unpacked and every item carefully folded, organized, and placed. That's exactly what we did for this young family. We're so lucky to be able to support people through important and exciting life transitions like this, and so happy for this lovely family.
Who wouldn’t love a storage cabinet and countertop like this in their mudroom? This space serves as the family command center so we added spots for calendar sharing, schoolwork storage, and travel needs like sunglasses and sunscreen. We also added some decor to make the most of the ceiling height and make the space feel more “finished.”
“Is it weird that I wanted to just go sit downstairs in the store room all weekend?” - client text. Nope. Not weird at all. Especially when what was once a source of stress and frustration is now a place of order and function.
Two things I love:
1. Books.
2. When organizing involves styling & placing decor.
I had so much fun unpacking and organizing this adorable bookshelf featuring some serious classics. Pearl S. Buck. C.S. Lewis. Laura Ingalls Wilder. Swoon!
Entertaining and hosting doesn’t have to be stressful when you’re fully stocked and know where everything is located. This secondary kitchen is now party-ready after a quick organization reset.
What’s it like to feel like you’re shopping a boutique inside your own closet? This recent client knows. Imagine feeling calm and happy when picking an outfit instead of stressed and frustrated. We can make it happen.
Organizing and preparing ahead of time can take the stress out of hosting a summer party. Learn the steps to take to be ready to host (and enjoy your own party) even at a moment's notice in this month's blog complete with links to some of my favorite products for effortless hosting.

A little bit obsessed with these chic sunglass organizers we incorporated into a recent project.
A place for everything and everything in its place.
When black is anything but basic.
The Village Home Stores recently invited me to play around in their wet bar display, and I had a blast demonstrating how careful design and organization can make a wet bar one of the best, most versatile investments in your home. I love a good cocktail, but most of the time I and my guests prefer canned beverages. Keeping koozies contained is a must!
A well-organized cleaning and household supplies closet is a thing of beauty.
Freshening your home for spring? Check out our Product Reuse area! Many of the items received through the Household Hazardous Material Program can still be used so residents are invited to take, at no charge, 15 items per month. You'll find carts of available items under the Household Hazardous Materials awning (weather permitting) during normal business hours (which includes an hour later than usual on Mondays this summer!).

Folks this is the power of a well-planned organizing system and clients dedicated to maintaining it. I organized this kitchen more than two years ago and have not touched it since. This is the exact state it was in when I visited today. I did not tidy it up before pulling out my camera. I’m sure at times over those two years it was messier than this, but when everything has an assigned “home” it’s so much easier to get things back in order.
It’s Small Business Week! Here are some great ways to support the small businesses in your community in addition to buying their products or services.
I’m not a minimalist but I try to (and encourage my clients to) weigh the VALUE of the things I buy and keep. Do they truly make life better or are they just adding to the noise?

Come with me as I share a dirty little secret - organizers get disorganized too. Shocking, I know. BUT we also have a system to quickly get it together when it does get out of hand. And we can do that for you too.
Awesome opportunity to do something great for both the environment and the community! And the perfect motivation to get rid of some of that metal you had no idea what to do with.
Got any metal clinking around?
Send it on a mission with Alter Metal Recycling! Not only will you be clearing up space, but you'll also be giving the environment a high-five and helping raise funds for the reserve. It's a win-win-win situation!
100% of the value of the metals you drop off between April 1-30, 2024, will be donated back to Mercado on Fifth and MATCHED. Be sure to tell the attendant your donation is for Mercado on Fifth!
