Two crowns form this bead, a worthy symbol of the union between a prince and his bride.

This bead was created in honour of the happy event in Denmark. The first 200 beads were numbered and number 001 was given to Crown Princess Mary on her wedding day.

This bead was later available as a custom product and not numbered, which means this Royal Wedding Trollbead is not numbered.”

🎉 Here in YYC, with the warm weather and dry roads, I decided to do a LOT of extra Christmas cookie-baking 👩‍🍳 and deliveries to family and friends this year — Oh what fun!

🎉 After a bunch of whirl-wind days, lucky me, I finally had a chance to take a breath, relax and watch my favourite Christmas movie, the evening of December 25th: "White Christmas” with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Vera-Ellen and the incomparable Rosemary Clooney 💖 What can I say?… I’m a “Retro-Gal” all the way!

🌃 It’s Throwback Thursday!… NINE years ago, around this date, I was at the Village Vanguard ( ) in NYC to hear my friend Kenny Washington ( ) play with the fabulous Bill Charlap Trio ( )

🎹 As always, the Bill Charlap Trio performed brilliantly, with an evening full of classic "American Songbook” tunes, plus I had a tiny, surprise interaction with a very famous singer... Mr. Tony Bennett ( ) happened to be in the audience that magical evening! 💖

🎶 At the end of the show, as Mr. Bennett was leaving, he passed by the table I was sitting at along the side of this very narrow club, and I gave him a big smile and a small, shy wave, to which he responded with a “wink” and a big smile in return… Such a sweet, classy guy!

🎤 But, this was not my first up-close encounter with Tony Bennett… Back in the mid-80’s and 90’s, I visited NYC at least once a year with my previous business. On one such occasion, early one morning on a coffee run for the friend I was with, across the street from the hotel we were staying at on West 55th Street, I saw Mr. Bennett at a shoe shine shop getting his shoes shined. As I was lingering outside the window, trying to confirm that this dapper gentleman was really Tony Bennett, he looked up from the newspaper he was reading and we exchanged big smiles… He was probably relieved that I didn’t disturb his shoe-shine by coming inside to fan-girl on him! 😁

🎵 I was also very fortunate to have been in the second row at a Tony Bennett concert here in Calgary, October 2009.

🌃 Such fond memories for a Throwback Thursday from 2014, but sadly, the last time I was in New York, so hopefully I can get back for a visit sometime soon!🤞🏻 ~ Suzie 😘💕💖

💖 Did you see the Barbie movie? I haven’t yet, but the movie release inspired me to make a bright pink, Wilma Flinstone-style choker, plus dig out the first Barbie doll that I played with in the 60’s!

💖 O-what-fun my sisters and I had!… Creating our own Barbie doll “dream” houses, furniture, etc. And, lucky for us, our Mom 💗 was a professional seamstress and made fab clothes for our Barbies too! 🎉
