Copied. Incredible piece

Please stop this. You are merely turning a human problem into an Igbo problem as most Nigerians love to do:

"Igbos don't love themselves."
"Igbos can't speak with one voice."
"Igbos are their own enemies."
"Igbos put their eggs in one basket."
"Igbos are too emotional."

Sadly, Igbos have been blackmailed with these expressions since losing the War that many have even accepted them as true.

In 1999 Jim Nwobodo contested the PDP primaries with Ekwueme and got a few votes. It is still being used to taunt Igbos that they work against one another and hate one another. Meanwhile since independence till today other ethnic groups have done worse than that.

In 1983, Tunji Braithwaite contested against Awo, while Aminu Kano and Waziri Ibrahim contested against Shagari. No Igbo man contested against Zik.

In 2007 Buhari contested against Yar'Adua his fellow Fulani from same state. He refused to attend the National Council of State meetings under Yar'Adua. He asked that Yar'Adua be impeached when he was sick. Atiku, another Fulani man, was also in that contest against Yar'Adua. None of them stepped down for the other. It was not an issue.

Buhari, Kwankwaso, and Ribadu all contested against Jonathan in 2011. None of them stepped down for one of them to challenge Jonathan. They all lost consequently.
Please in which ethnic group don't you see people betray one another or disagree with one another? Who were the biggest opponents of Jonathan? Were they not South south people led by Rotimi Amaechi, John Oyegun, Adams Oshiomhole, etc?

El-Rufai was the fiercest opponent of Yar'Adua. Same Fulani. He had to go on exile until Yar'Adua died. Nuhu Ribadu was haunted by Yar'Adua until he went into exile. He came back under Jonathan.

Bola Ige and Falae contested the AD ticket in 1999. Falae was chosen. Bola Ige got so angry that he virtually left AD and Adenifere and teamed up with Obasanjo. Meanwhile Falae contested against Obasanjo, lost, went to court, lost too, but never forgave Obasanjo for that.

Who were the people who worked most against Abiola's mandate? From Obasanjo to Shonekan to Alaafin to Arisekola Alao to Oladipo Diya to Abimbola Davies etc?

So where is the truth in this constant attempt to portray Igbos as peculiar in negativity?

You may not even be aware that this narrative you help in spreading is caused by Igbophobia. Most people don't even know that they engage in Igbophobia unconsciously.

It is the same way Jews were demonised in Europe for centuries until the Holocaust occurred.

The Jews were all over Europe like the Igbos are all over Nigeria doing business. They were seen as overbearing on the people and labelled as the cause of everything wrong in Europe. Shakespeare created the Shylock character for them. Martin Luther asked that they all be killed. after holocaust, Israel replanted and today, while surrounded by enemies, they stand tall.

They are like a Dot in middle east but their value which came from their focus on internal development and mastering everything as well as intelligence, manufacturing etc, is high enough that USA and Europe have to pally them and dare not ignore them

Igbos have fought a war and lost. So it is easy to create stories about them to show them that they are peculiar.

Please emancipate yourself from this. There is nothing peculiarly wrong with the Igbos or Yorubas or Edos, etc. What happens among them is simple human nature.

Edeoga Orders Massive Fake News Against Mbah, Enugu Governor-Elect

…says blackmail using NYSC certificate forgery allegation only way to win in court

By Shedrack Eze

The governorship candidate of Labour Party, Mr Chijioke Edeoga has directed members of his media team to launch a massive fake news onslaught against the governor-elect, Dr Peter Mbah, saying that was the only way to incite public sentiments against Mbah, strip the incoming administration of any form of legitimacy and whip up sympathy from judges adjudicating the election petitions.

Edeoga gave the directive in very strong terms during a strategy meeting of his enlarged media team involving his social media operatives at his Golf Estate residence in Enugu on Sunday, stressing that hope must be sustained among their demoralized supporters by continually maligning Mbah with different accusations painting him as unworthy of the office of governor he is about occupying, assuring it was only a matter of time before their “stolen mandate” was recovered.

The former commissioner for environment further argued that by fabricating more fake news on the NYSC discharge certificate the team had already put to the public, ascribing some of its fake news to PDP members, and impersonating eminent personalities as lampooning Mbah, judges would be convinced to give them judgment, adding that they had a good case in court over the NYSC certificate scandal.

An attendee of the meeting who said he was tired of Edeoga’s endless shenanigans but decided to play along to avoid being labeled a traitor or saboteur to the cause as they had been calling politicians from the Nsukka Zone who worked against their interest, said the Labour Party candidate was sounding more and more frustrated and desperate, adding that his shocking defeat in the polls had left them devastated and dispirited.

According to him, Edeoga had given them assurances that he had, through his connection and those of his sponsors, been reaching out to the judges and other judicial officers that could influence the outcome of the court case, insisting that over 3 billion naira had been raised both home and abroad for the settlement of the complex judicial process, the recent fund raising in the United States coming through his deputy, Nwokeabia.

He quoted Edeoga as admonishing them:

“You are all tested hands in the battle and we must fight to finish or lose it all. We must unleash all the weaponry in our arsenal. Remember we have come this far despite all intimidating forces against us by the might of our pen.

“We must escalate attacks on the person of Peter Mbah, paint him as a dubious character who forged an NYSC discharge certificate, stole the election and who is too tainted to occupy our Lion Building. You may think that negative propaganda is no longer helpful with the elections over. But the court of public opinion is reading and the judges who will sit on our cases are also reading. They will form their opinions from the narratives we are aggressively framing and disseminating.

“You must be at your creative best in fabricating fake stories against Mbah and the PDP. They should come massively and in torrents. We have almost convinced the public that only 7000 voters were accredited by BVAS in Nkanu East local government. Everyone believes us now. That is the power of propaganda.

“It’s very unfortunate that our lawyers vehemently rejected the plea bargain accusation against Mbah because it will trivialize our petition. They said there was no shred of evidential proof to support our accusation. We invested untold resources propagating the damaging accusation and it’s very disappointing it couldn’t fly.

“Luckily we have that letter from the NYSC director stating that Mbah’s NYSC certificate was forged. The silence from NYSC is disturbing. We have done everything to provoke a more indicting statement from them but they have kept mute, insisting the matter is sub judice, that Mbah produced some documents that unsettled them and that the full facts will be disclosed in court. But we cannot wait. We must explore all possible angles to the story and keep it on the front burner even if it means repeating ourselves over and again. For now it is our word against theirs”, he said.

The source said he was disgusted by the deliberate falsehoods and fake news emanating from Edeoga’s camp saying he was not alone in his disenchantment, adding that there’s life outside politics which Edeoga has failed to understand because of desperation. “His place that used to be a hive of activity is mostly empty and deserted since his defeat and even the turnout to the meeting was the poorest ever”, he lamented.

FIVE (5) POINTS EVERY IGBO PERSON AT HOME AND OUTSIDE MUST NOTE ABOUT THE FORTHCOMING CENSUS QUESTIONS

1. When asked Language spoken - fill Igbo, English, and Pidgin.

Make Igbo your first language even if you can't speak. This way you will make Igbo an important language.

2. For those who don't understand English, help them to state IGBO solely.

Don't promote another persons language. If you do you will be counted as one and by so adding to their population and they will turn around to mock you that you are minority whereas you are majority counted among them.

3. If they ask you for tribe, if you are from ANAMBRA State, say "IGBO"

4. If they ask you for address, give the address in your village

_Give your family house address in your village even if you never been there. Don't give them your address elsewhere. If you don't know the right address in your village, just state the name of your village.

5. Even if you live in any other city or speak any other language, don't mention it in your forms. Just leave it at IGBO only

This Census should show to the world, like the 1922 census did, that IGBO is truly a majority tribe. All our people in EBONY, ENUGU, IMO, ABIA,DELTA,EDO Rivers, Abuja, Lagos or any other State can now mention IGBO and get us counted. Please do this for your homeland. Census is what they use to share allocation and development. Don't fail IGBO LAND. Biko!!!

Please tell others as well. Share this to all Igbo Groups/persons on your contact. God bless Igboland.

Pls SHARE in all Igbo platforms.

THE DELUSION OF BROTHER CHIMA

By Charles Ogbu

Ever since losing his bid to return to the red chamber of the National Assembly, the ex two time governor of Enugu state and current senator representing Enugu East senatorial zone, Chimaroke Nnamani has been exhibiting conducts for which, in the days when treetops used to be the abode of the squirrel, his umunna would have since put him in chains.

The medical doctor-turned politician has blamed everything and everyone for his loss at the polls. Everyone except the actual reason; HIMSELF. From the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo to the entire Ndigbo down to Peter Obi and his supporters including the Enugu state governor-elect, Barr. Peter Mbah and the incumbent governor, His Excellency, Rt.Hon. Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the same Ugwuanyi who, in his pacifistic nature, defied all pressure and counsel from different quarters and resuscitated Chimaroke's political career from the dustbin of history where former governor Sullivan Chime had dumped it.

To be fair, Chimaroke has a justifiable reason to experience a total meltdown seeing as his over two decades in politics was unceremoniously brought to an inglorious end by a man, who was barely two weeks old in politics, Mr. Kelvin Chukwu of the Labour Party. But he just doesn't have the right to threaten the peace of our dearly beloved state simply because he lost an election, which he never stood any chance of winning in the first place.

The problem with the likes of Chimaroke is that they seem to live in an alternate universe that exists only in their deluded mind. This is the only reason a character like Nnamani could think he would win a free and fair contest in the same state where he left nothing but trails of festival of blood, thuggery, institutionalization of cultism, a culture of prebendalism and a general atmosphere of fear and insecurity.

One is forced to ask, whose votes was Chimaroke banking on in the just concluded election??

His Nkanu people who hold him in contempt for CLANNISHLY concentrating the few developmental projects he attracted during his 8 year reign as governor in Agbani, his hometown and has brought virtually nothing in his 8 years sojourn in the National Assembly? Was senator Nnamani hoping the OBIDIENTS MOVEMENT would vote for him after his unwarranted verbal talibanism against the same Movement? Could he have been this deluded? Or was the ex governor thinking the relatives of thousands of people he left office as governor without paying their gratuity would vote for him? Or was he hoping to get votes from the same church that still blame him for scores of death at the Adoration ground when he was governor?

Truth is, if there is one thing Enugu people want to put behind them, it is the dark days of Ebeano in Enugu politics. Under Chimaroke's reign as governor, so many Enugu people critical of the government were assassinated. I recall with grief, the gruesome murder of Engineer Victor Nwankwo, the Managing Director of Fourth Dimension Publishing Company and younger brother of Dr. Arthur Nwankwo. Victor was shot in front of his house at Independence Layout shortly after leaving the house of his brother, Arthur in the evening. And before his death, Victor had received threats from unknown sources not to publish a book he was working on, which catalogued the woeful performance of the then governor Nnamani between 1999 and 2003. And this was just one out of so many notable people that met their untimely death under the administration of the self-styled patriarch of the Ebeano political family.

In Enugu politics today, Chimaroke is not a name any smart politician would want to associate with. It is common knowledge that the only reason the governor-elect struggled to win his election was because of the perception that he has affiliations with Chimaroke; a perception that has now been finally buried. Every honest observer would tell you that on merit, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah stands tall above all his fellow competitors and would have won with a far wider margin if not for the Chimaroke factor. I mean, here is a man with a known business and very sound mind, articulate and clear headed about his ideas and plans for the state, yet, in an election in which he was unarguably the best candidate, he was almost beaten. Why? The Chimaroke factor!

Most of the battle the current governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is currently facing stems from his decision to bring Chimaroke back from political oblivion, dust him up and help him win a senate seat against advice from those well conversant with the treachery, volatility and emotional unstability of the Nkanu-born politician. I recall all the praises Nnamani showered on Ugwuanyi back then. Today, the same Nnamani is accusing the governor of betrayal, calling him unprintable names to his face. Please, who betrayed who, really?

Did Chimaroke expect the governor to truncate the peace the state is known for by using thuggery and violence to help him win election even against the wishes of the people as was the case when the former was the number 1 citizen of the state? Should the governor, Peter Mbah and all those Chimaroke have been attacking have snatched ballot boxes or destroyed the BVAS machines just to help Chimaroke return to the senate?

How can a man who has been governor for 8 years and senator for another 8 years continue to dance naked on Twitter simply because his people said they no longer want him as their representative?

How did my darling state end up with this type of character as governor to start with?

If Chimaroke is so desperate for a political appointment from Bola Ahmed Tinubu, there are other ways of going about it rather than this dance of shame. As an Nkanu man, I am deeply worried to witness this type of rascality from a man once seen by many as a leader. It is said that when a mad man is dancing naked in the market square, it is his family that feels the shame.

Curiously, this was the same man who, in his usual delusion of grandeur, made series of tweets before the election wherein he boasted that no one could defeat him in Enugu politics but added that in the event he loses, he would go home singing alleluia.

So I ask, when will Chimaroke honor his own words to go home singing alleluia now that he has been retired by the same people who employed him for the past 2 decades?

Meanwhile, I would advise the governor-elect not to even utter a word in response to the envious and confused soul. He should instead get the fastest cow, put on his dancing shoes, invite friends and well wishers (not leaving out the OBIDIENTS) and head to Holy Ghost Cathedral Enugu or any church of his choice for a special thanksgiving service. God has made light his heavy burden. We, who are still looking at him with 'one kind eye' can now fully embrace him. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

HOW CHIJIOKE EDEOGA DECEIVED AND USED CHIKA IDOKO TO INSTITUTE A COURT ACTION AGAINST PETER MBAH AND PDP

In 2022, my friend, Hon Chika Idoko, the Enugu North senatorial zone's candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), at the surreptitious instance, backing, financing, patronage and sponsorship by Chijioke Edeoga, governorship candidate of Labour Party in Enugu State;

He instituted a pre-election proceeding against the PDP, Peter Mbah and 37 others, seeking their disqualification from the general elections on the alleged ground of non-compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022.

Edeoga and his supporters in the zone were celebrating victory by preempting the judgment of the court.

They turned to Idoko's social media warriors, hailing him and pouring unending and resounding encomiums on the "not-too-young-to-know-the-right-thing-young-man".

Idoko became the beautiful bride and democratic crusader. They kept pushing him, promising to make him commissioner and local government area of Igboeze South LGA once Edeoga won the governorship election because if PDP was disqualified, it would be a smooth ride for him to the Lion Building.

My friend, Jonathan Emmanuel Ikechukwu , a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and others were all over the media, canonizing Idoko with satisfaction and gloat over the predicament of the PDP.

I reminded them of the position of the law. Nay! They were fanatically passing media judgment on the PDP, calling me names and questioning my law background.

I dropped a caveat behind for them: "Your malicious sojourn against Peter Mbah, PDP and the government feeding you will end in tears and shame." They came calling for my head.

At the Federal High Court, Chika Idoko failed woefully as the court derided him as a meddlesome interloper and threw out his case as scandalous, vexatious, and unnecessarily wasting the time of the court.

Idoko went back home. Licked his wounds, conceded defeat and appreciated his sponsors and benefactors.

Few days later, they pressurized him. They told him that his ambition of becoming commissioner and local government chairman would end of Edeoga failed to win the election.

Once again, he went back to the trenches and jungle of doom.

Edeoga, through his political godfathers, released more fund and insisted Idoko must head for appeal.

The next thing? We saw the notice of appeal. As usual and expected, Edeoga's social media minions started circulating it all over the social media.

Today, the Court of Appeal dismissed Chijioke Edeoga's, sorry, I meant, Idoko's appeal.

It did not end there.

The court slammed Idoko with cost for the outrageous, disgusting and egregious legal voyage.

What? Idoko must pay a cost of one million naira to each of the defendants/respondents.

How much is that? Thirty eight million naira!

Now, Edeoga is running from pillar to post, sweating under the rain.

Edeoga's Labour Party and his paid social media brigands have now descended on the court, calling the Justices unprintable names for ensuring that justice was served.

Thirty million naira means reducing part of the money they're using to chase judges all about to procure judgment.

Thirty million naira to the PDP would reduce part of the money LP is borrowing to get black market judgment.

Yet Idoko has been abandoned by Edeoga as information reaching us is that, the loser is now told he's on his own.

Don't fight people who are not fighting you, you won't hear.

Don't fight those already blessed by God, you accept.

Fighting Peter Mbah is waging war against your creator.

"I will fight those fighting you, and curse those cursing you. Walk and be blameless".

The victory God has given to Peter Mbah is a blameless victory. It's a blessing to the good people of Enugu State.

10 REASONS CHIMAROKE NNAMANI LOST RE-ELECTION BID

By Onyekachi Nwodo

In a 25th September 2022 tweet, former governor of Enugu State, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, chided critics, who vowed to punish him in the 2023 polls or warned him to watch the mode of politics he was playing ahead of the general election. Part of that tweet reads: “Let’s assume I lose? Will you cry for me? I go home singing alleluia? Governor! Senator? 23 years? Win-win”.

Unfortunately, he has refused to allow Nkanu land, the PDP, and Enugu State any rest since his defeat. He has blamed everyone else but himself for his loss. Since he doesn’t seem to understand why he lost his re-election, I have undertaken to highlight 10 out of a thousand and one reasons he lost for him to reflect on and thank me later.

*1. Political miscalculation and false sense of invincibility: Nnamani should admit that he totally misread the 2023 general election. He misjudged the dynamics of that election, underrated the determination of OBIdients and typically overrated himself. He swan against the current of the overwhelming quest for Igbo presidency represented by Peter Obi. Even when the Church got involved, Nnamani went on campaigning, not even for PDP’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, but for Bola Tinubu of the APC. Yet Nnamani felt that even if he defecated in the church, the people would simply clap and vote for him. In the aforementioned 25th September tweet, he said: “Do I have problem winning election in Enugu? …Be serious and think! Who will beat me in an election in Enugu?” He suddenly forgot that he could not win even a single councillorship seat and consistently lost his senatorial bid during his Peoples Democratic Change (PDC) experiment until he retired to America. So, his claim to political invincibility ahead of 2023 elections is a psychosis and self-delusion of monumental proportions that should interest political scholars.

*2. He did not campaign: Let Nnamani show Nigerians anywhere he PERSONALLY mounted the podium to address a single campaign rally during the campaign window from October 2022 to Thursday, March 16. He did not even show up at any of the town hall meetings in the 68 Development Areas/Centres by the governorship candidate of his party, Dr. Peter Mbah, not even one that held at Agbani. Nnamani did not also personally participate in a single community or ward tours of his party.

*3. Poor representation: Only one good turn deserves another. We cannot be reinforcing the failure and wasted years that Nnamani’s eight years in the Senate (2007 to 2011 and 2019 to 2023) represent. Nnoli Nnaji’s four years as a Member of House of Representatives have totally eclipsed Ebeano’s eight years as a Senator. Even the few projects that he got, he took to his private investments like the Mea Mater College at Ojiagu Agbani. He equally failed Nkanu as govenernor for eight years. The good roads in Nkanu land today, including Ozalla-Agbani-Akpugo-Amagunze road leading to his hometown were courtesy of a senator from another zone and Nnoli Nnaji has now taken over.

*4. Political greed: If Nnamani was truly interested in a governor of Nkanu extraction, the sensible thing he should have done was to cede the senatorial seat to Isi-Uzo LGA, especially in view of the far-reaching campaign and plots by a section of the state to usurp that opportunity. But he was the first to pick the PDP Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the Senate in Enugu State without recourse to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. In other words, it was his senatorial seat over and above everything else. Yet he expected Isi-Uzo to clap and vote for him.

*5. He was far removed from the people: Nnamani’s case is the case of the proverbial Eze Onyeagwanam, who forbade his people to correct him or call his attention to anything going wrong with or around him. So, on a day his royal regalia was stained by excreta, he wore it to the new yam festival at the market square because no one could come close or tell him a thing. Nnamani felt he was a deity and that what entire Nkanu land and the PDP owed him was libations. He loathed the ordinary people and looked down on the political heavyweights of the clan. This can be confirmed from the lines in his March and April 2023, tweets calling his people vipers and claiming that he sacrificed his youth for Nkanu, delivering them from political morass. Are you kidding me? The same man that Jim Nwobodo, on the insistence of Nkanu people, helped to make a governor at about age of 39 when as Senator Ken Nnamani would usually recall, he had not moulded block in Enugu? The same man that Nkanu people, including Chief Uche Nnaji (Nwakibie) literally bankrolled his governorship project only for him to throw everyone under the bus? To think that this is the same man, who left his surname and chose Nnamani to be able to clinch a scholarship courtesy of his uncle leaves one perplexed at his ingratitude.

*6. The corruption tag: There is the corruption tag that follows Chimaroke Nnamani that needs not be serialised here. The general feeling is that he stole Enugu State blind, invested the same money right inside Enugu – Agbani, Rangers Avenue, etc. to rub it in our faces. His companies have been officially been taken over in plea bargains and, in fact, the general belief is that any misgovernance, malfeasance, and underdevelopment that hunts Enugu State today, has its origin in Chimaroke Nnamani as the first governor of post-military era Enugu State. He milked the state dry.

*7. Electoral reforms: Whereas in the past, Chimaroke Nnamani could have rigged himself into the Senate, electoral reforms have vitiated most of his former winning formulas. Nnamani still fails to reckon the implications of the introduction of more technologies like the BVAS, direct transmission of election results, the I-Rev technology, etc. in the electoral process in the Electoral ACT 2022. He still lives in the days when men toiled and queued under the scorching sun casting ballots while his goons manufactured results in the cool comforts of hotel rooms. That is exactly why he easily concluded that he was rigged out and that those, who purportedly rigged him out, also rigged for the same Labour Party that did everything within their powers to stop Mbah’s declaration as the winner and issuance of Certificate of Return to him. It doesn’t just add up at all. Much as our elections still have a long way to go, they are much better than the system operated in the heydays of Ebeano.

*8. Growing sophistication of Enugu voters: Chimaroke still lives in a world where an average voter, voted political parties instead of candidates. That is the only way he expected everyone, who voted for Dr. Peter Mbah to vote for him. I am from Akpugo, but I registered to vote in Enugu East LGA where I reside. I am incurably OBIdient and voted for Obi in the presidential election. But I’m not a Labourer. If the governorship election had held on 11th March, I could have voted for Frank Nweke of APGA. Mbah was never on the menu for me. And it had nothing to do with him as a person, but about his association with Chimaroke Nnamani and the PDP. But after listening to him on Urban FM a few days to the rescheduled election, it was clear to my mind that he was by every stretch of judgment the most qualified in terms of intellect, plan for the state, exposure, reach, and what one has built outside the government. And there were many like me, who was able to look beyond the political platforms of candidates to look at their capacity, character, and competence. So, on the same day, I voted for Labour Party in the senate and House of Assembly elections, but voted for Peter Mbah in the governorship ballot; likewise everyone in my family and circle of friends. Examples abound across the country.

*9. The death of Oyibo Chukwu: The death of Oyibo Chukwu, the senatorial candidate of the Labour Party sounded the death knell on Ebeano’s re-election bid. Honestly, I doubt that he was assassinated; and if he was, I would look inwards in the search for the culprits because Chimaroke should be smart enough to know that he stood to lose more from Oyibo’s demise. Predictably, Chijioke Edeoga, Nnia Nwodo, LP, and the deceased relations dramatised it. They held rallies and even brought Obi on a condolence visit. Unfortunately for Chimaroke, reputation was not on his side. Also, public sympathy naturally went with Oyibo Chukwu’s younger brother. Again, the death worsened the divisions in Nkanu land against Chimaroke.

*10. A brutal past and present: Chimaroke’s political history is reminiscent of political brutality that Enugu people want to forget in a hurry. His eight-year reign was underpinned by a scorched earth policy that brooked not oppositions and took no prisoners. The tales of inexplicable political murders like that of Hon. Nwabueze Ugwu's brother are still fresh on people’s minds. Boys prowled the streets with “iron” and the political promotions that brought dimwits to limelight were predicated on ability to visit terror and violence on voices of dissent – be it the Church, priests, and political opponents. In Ebeano’s heydays, who could have freely abused him as a sitting Governor and still sleep in Enugu State? Even at his age, we saw how he physically attacked Chijioke Edeoga during the PDP governorship primary and how his thugs nearly killed a former Enugu South Council Chairman, Chiene I. Chiene in his presence.

Chimaroke Nnamani should sing alleluia and retire – just as he tweeted on 25th September. Fortunes have smiled on him. But he should also take out time to reflect and mend his ways should he still want to remain politically relevant. Trying to delegitimise Mbah’s victory on the ground that Mbah won on the same day that he lost is a no-brainer. It boils down to his characteristic envy that makes him hate to behold a greater than himself and that super delusion that always makes him think that nobody can amount to anything without him.

Ironically, if their was one single reason Mbah struggled with that election, it was the Chimaroke Nnamani, whose association weighed down on his candidacy like a load of weight sand. For most of us, especially the OBIdients, the more he attacks Mbah, the more we love the governor-elect. We are happy that our worst fears of an overbearing godfather breathing down a governor’s neck were ill founded.

Nwodo writes from Abakpa-Nike, Enugu
