Miniature low-profile workholding solutions.
Putting in a full day on Saturday.
I only have about .250 depth for the vise to grab on this one. I have to go at it slow so the end mill won't pull the part out.
When 90% of your stock turns into chips.
Oh yeah!
Never thought I'd be getting into tool work!
I've never seen a bar so big! Makes me want a monster lathe so I can make monster chips !!
Another order out the door!
I have a new model of 3/4" x 6" x 12" fixture plate coming. Currently, I provide plates that have blind holes. I have had some feedback from people who suggest that it would be nice to have through-holes. So, Here is my answer to those suggestions.
The extra machining involved will increase the price of about $25, so I will continue to keep both types of fixture plates available on the site. Check back in a week and I should have this new model available.
Happy Friday!
Finally, I am finishing up the updated T-slot table prototype and it's looking good! I think it needs some low-profile toggle clamps and T-nuts because complete kits are the best! I will be updating the site today.

Some specialized test equipment that I made for a research group involved with photonics. Good times :).
I am happy to promote my first T-slot table :). The initial concept revolved around it being used for drill presses and workholding small parts. Tomorrow or Friday I will finish up the set with T-nuts and custom adapters for the miniature toggle clamps. The sets will be available starting this weekend.
Have a happy Thursday and stay busy :).

Today I had the chance to machine out this neat piece. It goes to a workout machine. The fixture being used is the 1/4-20 threaded fixture plate with the low-profile clamp kit.

Tomorrow I will machine out this piece with help from the 1/4-20 fixture plate and its low-profile clamps. I plan to upload a ten-minute video on the process I go through to get something like that made.
These fixture plates are available at www.daytoncncproducts.com
Here is something kind of interesting. I modified some quick detachable Picatinny clamps a while ago to accept a Leupold Delta Point Pro reflex sight. I sold them on eBay, but they never really took off. Probably too much competition in that area. I managed to sell off the ones I made and this one is my personal unit that I kept as a souvenir :).

Hi everyone :). This week I will upload a video of the fixture plates in action by showing some car parts being made upon them. I will show how I can machine both the internal and external portions of the parts to full depth.
Happy Tuesday!
Finally, I have my first inventory stock of 10-24 clamps that go with the "High-Resolution Fixture Plate". The set provides a lot of versatility with mounting locations. The clamps are 30% smaller than the 1/4-20 clamps and have a minimum height above the work piece of .125".
Visit www.daytoncncproducts.com to learn more about it!
This week, I plan to get the fist sets of 10-24 low-profile clamps made to accompany the high-resolution fixture plate. I believe this will be an excellent addition to the DCNCP product line. The clamps are 30% smaller than their 1/4-20 variants. pictures and videos to come!
6" x 12" fixture plate
Machining contours on this 9" piece of steel to full depth is easy with the Dayton CNC Products fixture plate set. The low profile clamps are great for staying out of the way of the end mill.

6" x 12" High-Resolution Fixture Plate.
Do you work with parts that are intricate and need more threaded holes to increase your workholding options? If so, then the High-Resolution Fixture Plate is a good choice for you. This fixture plate has an abundance of holes in both the threaded and smooth bore variety. Itβs also an excellent choice for those that work in production and need several parts that could benefit from incremental spacing to reduce production time.
Features:
793 holes threaded in 10-24
288 holes for 1/8" dowel pins
Measures 6"x12"x0.75"

The 6" x 12" fixture plate is great at allowing me to quickly set up jobs that are not convenient for the vice to hold on to. Here is a 9" steel ring made from flame cut A36. A bit of trial fitment before performing a contour cut on the OD and ID.
Features:
220 1/4-20 threaded holes.
72 1/4" holes for dowel pins
Measures 6" x 12" x .75"
