Avon Skin So Soft was launched in the 1960’s. Here are 10 top uses for what originated as a body moisturiser but has gone onto have so many extra benefits*
1. Body moisturiser – not just for your arms and legs. Why not drop a couple of capfuls into a foot bath and feel gorgeous moisturised feet, with a lovely fresh scent.
2. Insect repellent especially in areas of woodland and lakes e.g. camping and hot holidays. I have had so many customers swear by Skin so Soft for repelling mosquitoes in swampy Florida, while camping and hiking.
3. Insect repellent for horses. Featured in the Horse and Hound July 2017. My best friend buys 5 bottles a month for her stable!
4. Removes head lice – leave for 15-20 mins. Then rinse outside. Ok, that’s definitely one for the warmer weather!
5. For shiny hair, rub a small amount through your hair after you have washed and dried it. No, it’s not greasy.
6. Removes the sticky residue left by stickers and labels on most plastics and glass.
7. Use it to remove lipstick stains from clothing. I have also heard that it is good for chewing gum that has stuck to clothes and other fabrics.
8. Use in the garden to repel bugs. Pop a couple of capfuls in a small oil burner outside and light the tea light below. Better than any citronella candles to repel the bugs.
9. Great for cleaning dirt and oil from hands after working on the car, garden, decorating etc
10. Removes candle wax from surfaces
