I am an electrical engineer, working in JAPAN for 10 years. Returning to Manila on hot days, had to turn on the air conditioner all day because it was too hot. But my parents are different, they don't use the air conditioner for fear of wasting electricity. In Japan, my colleagues and I use super energy-saving smart air conditioners instead of conventional air conditioners, it works very well, cools quickly and saves a lot of electricity compared to normal air conditioners.
